Hi all, this has been a great evening for me with rFactor2. Because I finally learned how to control Skip Barber formula through the corners using gas pedal. How to make her push or throw the rear end loose, but all the time in control. What a feeling to drive like that! Really satisfying. I first started discovering the basic handling with rF2 Howston, but that overpowered monster has apparently few more tricks to learn that I can handle at the moment. Skip Barber has only the basics, it really is a perfect training racer.

Trying a heap of modern racing sims during past weeks has made clear that they are NOT equal competitors. rF2 wins clearly. For me rF2 feels a bit more natural than iRacing, which is the second best. All the others stay clearly behind, including some bestsellers who rely on ISI's old motor. Italian newcomer has also very good physics, it's graphics look impressive, but the feeling of tyres rolling and sliding on racetracks sufrace just feels best in rFactors world. I really hope long and succesfull future for the amazing rF2. Thanks for your work, ISI team!

BTW, I have ISI's old Sports car GT box on the shelf, bringing good memories every time I see it :)
All the best to all of you community members!

the skip is great in rfactor 2

-once you get use to the rf2 sim version the penny drops as to why it's used as a training car in the real world
I'm surprised it isn't more popular than it is maybe because now there's lots of cars to choose from in rf2

it's also good in Iracing but I think they've dumbed it down a tad recently so it's lost a bit of it's twitchyness (IMO), which makes the rf2 version the perfect choice

when people post that it's uncontrollable etc I know they've not given it enough time etc

Good server too, I'm in Canada and never had any lag issues on a F2R server.

Someone on the forums once linked to this video about the Skip. It is very informative.

This info can apply to any car though.
