Server Test

Hi -- could someone try connecting to my server please -- C3PO_FR35 ... thank you. Any problems getting into the monitor screen plse shout.

 

Hi mate, for me the join button is greyed out....

 

Make sure you open/forward TCP port 64297. That should fix the join button.

Test this URL form a smartphone (with WiFi turned off):
http://86.151.4.155:64297/SessionInfo/

Once it works on your phone you should get a join button.

GetMod, Skin Xfers and the join button all rely on the HTTP server which is what runs on tcp:64297. Everything else runs over the simport (54297).

 

Most routers allow everything outgoing. But I am not really sure how yours is. Most likely you only need to setup inbound.

 

Still no joy with those settings. So annoying as the server for Assetto Corsa works fine.

 

Is the vmod file into server's Packages folder?
If not, it also produces greyed Join button. I have just tried to connect, but no luck

How does AC bypass your firewall? Does AC take advantage of UPNP or something. rF2 is quite easy to host with due to its minimal port list. Don't forget that you have to open the ports on your router but also open the ports in the windows firewall.
