    Hi all, and Hi Noel,
    I have some troubles and some doubts I don't know how to solve them:
    - First of all, rfcmp like xxxHUD.rfcmp, or xxxUIfile.rfcmp are they treated as location/vehicles/sounds? I can not link a url to those type of rfcmp files.
    - I did the following steps:
    * Extracted a multicomponent file
    * Uploaded the simple components to a automatic-server (only location, vehicles and sound).
    * Linked the URL with the component and checked the URL (Test URL button), and also checked the link in getmod.srrs.... website.
    * Created the vmod in the same computer and same rfactor 2 installation. Installed the vmod, created a game and tested that worked.
    * Uploaded vmod and manifest file (only the mft for vmod) to game-server and run the server.
    * Run a multiplayer (online) game, connected to the server, and tried to get missing components... but after several attempts failed.
    *-----Did I miss anything? The only "strange" thing i did was not to clos getmodMGr program while doing the vmod
    Tomorrow I will try again but I won't expect a different result

    Updating my post:
    I finally could make it work but only with locations, sounds and vehicle files. If I put in the vmod single components as UI files, showroom files, talent files... The automatic getting missing components doesn't. Obviously because I couldn't do a link between the url of this file and the rfcmp file. I think if I linked a this-type-of-rfcmp-file to an URL, I would make it work completely.
    Summarizing: I still need help with those type of rfcmp files.

    GetMod Manager in it's current form doesn't support "Other" components. I could update it to handle them without too much work though. As for your password. Currently I don't have a password reset. I will work on that too. But for now, PM me with your username and I will reset the password and respond with the new password.

    - Related to "other" components: no problem for a tool update in a future :cool:. But, I thought that in http://getmod.srrs-racing.net/, I could "Add Mod", enter a ID or signature and add a new category, and after that add an URL... and it is done. That was what i did but it did not work with those "other components".

    - Related to pass, I will send you a PM (thanks in advance)

    Hmm. I will have to look. Maybe other components are supported by GetMod. Although I'm fairly sure I tried this once with a custom UI.

    Switched yesterday one test server to steam. No i have trouble with GetMod. Doing the same on the non steam server but GetMod is not working anymore. We i put the components (cars, tracks, sounds) into the packages folder the fallback works. But i would prefer GetMod working because of server performance.
    When i test the url from the GetMod-Manager the urls are working. Did i miss something?

    I have a similar issue. GetMod does not recognise the working directory of a Steam server install. Tested on my local machine first, then later on our remove race server, working directory is not recognised on either.

    Get Mod initially starts with an error "No data path defined..." Once this selected, it stays for a second, then disappears. Then the "Working Dir" dropdown is empty. GetMod is run from inside Bin32 on both servers.

    I'm having the same issue, I don't want Steam using my server bandwidth for downloads but when I pull the .rfcmps from the server packages folder (as suggested by the ISI PR guy) I get a "Package Not Available" message..I'm using the SteamCMD dedi-server install.

    Bjorn figured out what is happening..as a Client, if you use the Steam/View/Servers Matchmaker option the game will use GetMod links..if you join via the rFactor2 Launcher it will only search for Package Folder contents..So, if you run a league using Noel's GetMod Manager to host files and your drivers depend on using the GetMod feature, tell them to use the Steam Matchmaker and Not the rFactor2 Launcher.

    In case you don't know where to find it, when you open the Steam UI, at the very Top click on VIEW, then SERVERS, you may want to use the filter and set it to rFactor2 otherwise every Steam server will be on your list, I've tested it several times and not only were my download speeds back to normal, the GetMod download count increased with every test I ran..:)

    Wrong, if you join via the rFactor2 Launcher it will only search for Package Folder contents if you have package Folder contents (.rfcmp) in your package Folder
    If you create new folder and move .rfcmp`s to that folder from your package Folder you have same download speed trough Steam Matchmaker and rFactor2 launcher.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
        <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.
