Beginning to hate Windows 8

I'm having all kinds of problems trying to download and install mods. I've been trying to download GP79 and keep getting "file corrupt or unknown format" message. I've had no luck with Suzuka either. Is there some trick that I need to know when using Windows 8?

 

It's not Windows 8.

If this is only happening with certain links you're either not downloading the right thing (can happen when you right-click->Save As a link that actually leads to a stub that triggers the actual download) or the source files are borked.

 

We tried to setup a GP79 event a few weeks ago and gave up due to the above.

There's probably fixes or workarounds, gotta get digging

 

Maybe if you're all getting it, the server downloading from doesn't have the complete file uploaded.

 

I got the GP79 to work. For some reason Winrar was causing a problem. Still can't get Suzuka to work

 

The GP79 links are not Winrar and for me appear fine.

Tested mod and fix re-download and re-install.
