After re-installing rfactor on my new computer it won't let me update. I click on the update button, but nothing happens. Any ideas?

What build do you have installed?

Is it actually click-able? Are you logged in?

I have build 590. It has my log in info but when I log in I'm not sure it really takes it. I can go to the update page where the button says update and it is highlighted...I click it and nothing?

Try logging in on the center section of the simulate tab prior to trying to update.

That is where I am trying to log in. I even tried logging in under the Purchase tab and then going to Update....same non result, update button looks activated but when I click it nothing happens. Frustrating.

Try running the launcher as administrator, could have some funky settings stopping it.

How to I go about launching the game as administrator? Forgive me, I'm not tech savvy.

    To launch rF2 as administrator:

    1) Locate the file "Launch rFactor.exe" in your install folder (probably "C:\Program Files (x86)")
    2) Right click the file "Launch rFactor.exe" and select "Properties"
    3) Select the "Compatibility" tab
    4) Check "Run this program as an administrator", then click "OK"

You're welcome. Keep in mind that this is a temporary fix as it results in lower security. Hopefully, Jeremy will be able to sort things out.

I was having so many other problems on my new machine that I just re-installed rfactor 2 and started over. This time I could update right off the bat.
