    Hmmm!

Looks like evga is to launch a new 780gtx with 6gb of ram!

So I have a 3gb 780gtx classified! Is the faster speed of the classified or the extra ram of the forth coming card going to be of greater value with rfactor2?

Probably depends on what you are trying to drive in terms of monitor setup?

The 3.6GB limit is to do with main memory not GPU.

To answer the original question no, i very much doubt you would see any difference between a 3GB/6GB of the same card, in your case will prob loose fps due to the down clock from the classified. More gpu ram is usually better for more screens.

However if you felt like going mental on a GPU.. Nvidia today announced the "Titan Z" - Try 12GB GPU Ram and over 5000 cores lol.. oh and the $2999 RRP. :)

That card sounds like it has enough power to power reality let alone virtual reality! And to think I once had a computer with a 40MB hard drive and 512k of ram! Actually I think I still have it!!

This is apparently a non Titan.

I never did fill that 40mb hard drive. I think I bought a new computer because the 512k ram wasn't enough! I had a graphics package that when you got a big enough graphic, it would take like 3-5 minutes to refresh after a you drew a line. It probably would have had negative fps!!

From what I gather, this is a DUAL GPU setup. 12gb, dual GPU is actually 6gb max split across (memory sharing/duplication). Just like the 690 GTX series cards that were dual GPU and 4gb of RAM. You can't combine the RAM for total usage, but you do get dual Titans in 1 card.

Man you were rich!!!!! Try a VIC-20.
Only got a C64 later on because pops was wise enough to buy the extended warranty and I broke the VIC-20 so they only had C64's and they gave up the upgrade.
