Thanks mate. Me too. Was getting desperate there at the end. New build and no sound equals no fun and great frustration.

    +1

Is there free voice recognition software available?

Also: It should say sixth, first, second, ninth etc... not one, four, nine etc.

I also noticed that my engine sound went quiter all the time littl eby little with this plugin in use... or at least I believe that was the reason. I could raise my volume from my headphones but then also the spotter got louder and it was loud in the first place (I mean good volume but not any louder needed).

Thanks for the big effort! :)

EDIT: really not sure about that engine sound thing...could also be that it was against my leg and it went quiet because of that :p Just ignore my comment atm :D Overall all seems to be working.

After installing the V1.1, I do not have any problems with sounds that only decreases in the volume mixer windows

I have started a tutorial to install a free voice recognition software to convert voice command to keyboard shortcut, and so ask info to the Spotter. You can find here

Well, I posted a couple of pages ago that I didn't get any spotter sounds either and have been following this thread and trying the ideas mentioned.

I use the 32bit mode (798 ATM) and the trackmap plugin in win7 64bit Ultimate. All of that works fine, but still no spotter sounds, even with v1.1?

Since everything else works, it's not a crisis for me, but I would like to get it working ... I miss the spotter in rF1.

If anyone has further ideas I could try, please let me know, otherwise I'll just keep following this thread.

I have the spotter working, but he talks too much sometimes, won't leave me alone even though I "don't" know what I am doing!

Tires too cold, brakes too hot, tire too hot, brakes too cold, can't make up his mind! :p

Does he use HDV data or do we have preset his criteria, I'll have to look it up??

Thanks for the response. I think he just uses data set within the spotter program.

When does he begin talking, so I can tell when he does work? Clicking into the pit? After a lap? I'm not sure so I never know when he should say something.

    Yeah, that[s hot !

To get more inspiration and help to start, I annexed my FreePIE script, extract it to the folder ``\Voicescripts``. This was made with an older FreePIE version 0.45

A rough .pdf description, how to use it and which commands you can speak is annexed as well

At last extract the folder ``Waves-Engl`` into your FreePie installation - annexing was not possible, grab it here

The script is adapted to my G27 and I am using Button8 as microfone button.
First you have to ``wake up`` your race eng - speak ``hello Box`` or ``hi Sam`` while keeping button8 pressed.
Pressing button8 you should hear a ``bleep`` and a static noise for 3 seconds

To get best results form speech recognition you should complete the training, available in windows system control panel.

After this, you should hear a random answer from your mate ....
Good Luck, Fellows ... and keep patient until you get success.

First thing after the plugins load and I am moving on the pit lane, the spotter tells me to watch my speed?

Jerry, can you start from scratch and dot point your steps? We may be able to understand where the issue is that way.

The plugin, once he tell that your break/temp are too hot or too cold, stop saying that again for 2mn. Then tell again if temperature are still not in correct range.

If the thresold value in the spotter.ini are correct for your car, then it simply means that your car setup/driving are not optimal (if not a spotter bug of course)

short feedback: did yesterday a update to spotter plugin 1.1.
All works now out of the box perfect. Spotter talks not to much and the given Information are good understandable.
    Many thanks Gerald!
My next step will be to activate glove pie. Looking forward to the final step really excited about how it will feel if I can talk to the spotter :)

Is there a list of best temperature zones for tires and brakes available ?

If not we should start to collect these informations and put it into the Spotter wiki.
This way Gerald can include them in further releases.

I start with ISI Corvete C6R (optimal values from .hdv file)

    v:breakTooHot=530
    v:breakTooCold=485

    v:tireTooHot=105
    v:tireTooCold=80

Okay I just got the brake temperature ranges from Carstats http://www.carstat.viso36.es/. Unfortunately the website has an optimal tyre temperature but not a range. Also maybe we should if possible add the different tyre types for each vehicle as the optimal temperature range for wet tyres and dry tyres is very different?. Also I'm not sure whether I have named each vehicle correctly. Anyway if anybody wants to correct or complete the little bit of work I have done so that Gerald could add it to his vehicle file go ahead and do it.
