How should work the get mod button or in other words why I have a active get

How should work the get mod button or in other words why I have a active get Mod button despite the server and client version does not match and
the matchmaker browser is aware of that (message server and client does not match)

Is it an intended function ?

Shouldn't stop you getting the mod, just joining with it.

Think of it this way, what if a server had a track you wanted, and had it on getmod, you don't want to join, you just want the mod.

 

Ah ok. From this view it is logical

 

It shows the get MOD button for me too, but if I try to download MOD's from servers with different build the MOD downloads always failes.
