Good Morning..and afternoon to some.. I have been trying various combinations with the server and Live Races, In a attempt for lack of a better term, settle things down. Some server op's, likely have seen if using over 4 instances like us, every now and then, 1 of the instances will fail, lock up on the racers side, on the op side, display an error. A glance at the server and event logs show no errors. I think for some with hope, it is as easy as installing Net Framework 4 in it's entirety. By this I mean, checking to make sure that any patch available is installed. For the last week, I have been installing LR on the Official ISI server. last 3 days, all 4 have been working with no crashes and no reports back in the Official server forum. With no reports back, I am taking that all is working well. For those that are not seeing any issues in serving for there league.... and Live Racers Then "RACE ON" I am also wondering with the new .dll's being built, if also this might cure issues being seen by some? Yes, Stevo is a busy fella..no pun intended. A forum takes some commitment to be useful. But, yes it would be helpful. Ya..The Olympics have a funny format. Even though Team Canada won against Finland in overtime, they get forced out of the first seed. But them ladies...The men should take some lessons from them and pay attention watching them play.. Morning Folks... I am still looking for some feed back on the ISI Official servers and if the changes I made over last week made any difference for most. If some took the time to turn some laps... Will Live Racers ever come back to the ISI official server? What is the problem for being down? Can you/ISI/we solve this?
Put F3 up and I will consider it. Only been asking for 2 months ! You could have had 12 or more in every single night !
What does that have to do with testing .dll's and server patches? The servers that are in the Match Maker lobby, are configured by ISI for what they would like to have. I have nothing to do with any planning and deployment of the ISI Official servers. I was looking for feed back on a issue with "Live Racers", For the developer. It does not matter what series or track, or matter of fact if there is 1 racer or 20, I will get the results I am looking for. Dave NRT
Sry on rolling the eyes but if you had any idea how many times I asked ISI for F3's you would understand What does it matter ? Well BT20 server has been empty for weeks. That is my only concern to help test servers and having a car up that a rookie can contend with would be a benefit in more ways then one. Well would having another server populated rather then being empty as it has been for weeks be a plus. More numbers we can check pings and lags and dropouts you get with more cars in room, other then specific issues can't we. The reason some servers do not get populated is that some combos have been done to death, so in that respect track and series does matter.
In the last 2 hours I made 4 races in a row with the Skip Barber on the official server. Always between 12 and 18 drivers. No problems for me. No lags and no ctd (like I had often with build 382 while loading track). So build 494 is for me very stable.
ISI Open Wheel has been broken all day for me. Join never "lights" up .... never accepts the "click" I am in Wichita, KS. The BT20 link has worked all day... Yesterday I was able to run the SB car, but not today.
Today I'm not able to join any of this four servers... But that is a (known) general problem with multiplayer in build 494.
Dave, is there more specific information that would be helpful... Perhaps a fill in the blank type table, so that you get the information that you need without the editorializing? Best regards... Randy
Hi Dave. Just checked the ISSI servers. I attempted to join each of them and the "join" box remained greyed out... I suspect you already know... Thanks for your continued efforts.
