Anyone interested in an informal weekly rally(-like) hot lap contest?

Here is what I am thinking.

Any of these cars go fairly well with any of the tracks listed for a rally-like experience.

Vote on your favorite cars and tracks separately and we race the most popular car on the most popular track.

For now, I'd prefer to just report times informally in this thread rather than setup a server + live server until we know how much interest there is.

If interested, vote on your favorite cars and tracks.

If you vote for Mountain Forest, you might want to also vote for something else also as it is not working ATM.

Also if anyone is already running a hotlap server with any of these combinations, just let me know and I will cease and desist immediately

 

not sure poll is working correctly but i will wait to see what people say. for me, i couldn't tell what i selected. so my vote is not just for spark f1. i vote for all the combos

 

I like this sort of thing but I honestly think we just don't have the content atm with rF2. Just my two cents and it isnt' worth that.

 

I say choose 3 cars for 3 different classes (Civic, Skippy & SLS- but use the Apex SLS) and run it on a point-to-point track made for a rally-type event- 666

 

Spa/Howston with a rain setting would be fun IMO. Just like rally racing one big mistake and it's over. I'm just blabbering here. You can tell me to buzz of if you choose.



The person could set it up as a one lap one car race so you could time it from a standing start.

 

Civic / Blackwood rallye course / heavy rain

 

I would be in too, on Route 666 of course
If needed I can provide a server and stuff needed for this event.

btw I could only vote for one option, isn't it supposed to vote for a car and a track ?

Well i fouled up the poll. It wouldn't let me select the 'allow multiple values' no idea why. Yeah a server would be great and since i messed up the poll i'd say we go ahead and make it route 666. Any vehicle works for me so I think you should pick. And it doesn't need to be from my list those were just the ones i was using. Thoughts?

 

What about 2 or 3 vehicles, something easy and something difficult?

Unfortunately the timing on the P2P layout doesn't stop in MP, so I've chosen the Circuit layout.
To provide everybody the same conditions, I turned real road off. Or should I better load a real road file with maximum rubber?

 

i vote to leave real road off. Thanks for setting the server up i finally have a weekend off so i'll be out there.

did a lap in each. just under 13:00 in civic and ~14:15 in skippy. amazingly fun.
