Wow! 30 unique models, or 30 teams? Man if that is 30 unique models that is one hell of a mod. In that case, yeah not being able to share textures would add up.

You can't put multiple models in the same vehicle component and one component can't reference another. That is the problem. I think you are confusing a team/skin with an actual model. Your M2009 example is only one model.
30 skins model not 30 different model. But it's all tremendously. 30 skins with veh and external and internal window and icon are nearly 200MB for megane multiply by 10 model at worst it'll quickly mounted Anyway if you take all the ISI cars, you have your 10GB or not far I do not see where is the problem, the players will download anyway, since it's a bit of what players expect
No, 30 3D models and more than 1000 skins. YES, It's impossible to manage the development and addition of cars in the way, you need to separate each car to be able to progress in development in parallel. In the game there is already a cmaps.mas so ISI have a common mas for his car, we need a way to deploy a common.mas for each mod in the same way. But today there is packaging limitation that avoid this. If you make a common components, you need to have teams associated to be declared as Vehicle. And when you make this the other vehicle component using this common component is not able to see it in single player. Working well in ModDev, not in Single player. Because we are free modders, not paid to do that, and make it on one simulator take lot of time, so two it's not manageable with real life. Just throwing this out there, but would you not be concerned about a low quality conversion from the one you select to mod for? I can see people wanting it so much they will just illegally convert it
This is not the question, for the moment we can't (and converters too) make a good job because of lack of support and not finished feature. And on rF2 it's hard to make a direct conversion, too new feature to add. And to finish, the converters don't have the new additional models made from scratch.

Seems i have some trouble with my T500 but only now and then, i have no idea why or what triggers it but the break pedal input shows im not pushing it fully down even though i clearly am, and also when this happens my steering wheel seems to change lock too adding understeer to all vehicles, posted some time back in this thread talking about understeer, thinking it was a problem with the mod but as it turns out i seem to have hardware problem.
No its all cars, happens in other titles too, when I go in to thrustmaster properties to test, the break pedal does'nt show im pushing it all the way down even though im stamping on the ****er. My F1 rim is playing up to, just decides not to shift down now and then also, well annoying
