    Are you kidding me? The safety cars still can't be programmed to accelerate, and they still move around like static robots and on a rail?

    I had to disable the safety car in my SCE server because it literally goes around the track at an astonishingly slow pace not to mention it stays at a static speed for 90% of the lap. It destroys the safety car experience. I can't believe this hasn't been fixed yet.

    In real-life, safety cars such as those in F1 are being driven hard as hell on the straights, braking, corners, acceleration, everything.

    Why is that clio going a static 10 km/h around a big oval with such powerful cars behind it?

    I hope the safety car core-coding or whatever should get improved/updated.

    Nice, man - enjoyed that.

    Pretty sure those safety cars trundle round at a reasonably slow pace anyway on the ovals, not like in F1 say where they might push on to keep the tyres warmer for the drivers. Is it not adjustable though, surely the speed must be. There wouldn't be all these other configurable rules and such and then only have one speed for the car.
    The ISI servers are using a pace car corvette, haven't seen it out for a yellow flag yet though.

    I totally agree with you though, it would be nice to see. There are so many things that would be nice to see. Would be more interested in a nicely integrated human driver for a pace car though, for a serious league or something.

    Look into the .rfm file (rF1, GSCE, rF2)

    RacePitKPH = 80
    NormalPitKPH = 80
    FormationSpeedKPH = 160 ==> SafetyCar max speed.

    The SC will drive the SC line as fast as possible. The maximum speed on the straights is adjustable.
    You can max out the formation/SC speed and still be cruizing behind the SC in your F1 car.
    But i recommend a sensible value for less powerfull cars. ;)

    What dictates how hard the AI of the safety car accelerates, brakes, and takes corners? Do the public have access to that stuff or is it only accesseable from the core?

    Thanks.

    Yep. Can't figure it out for the life of me. No stuttering while driving, just in replay. Has happened for a long time, can't remember which build, it was pretty early on though, pre 998.

    Here's another video for the file.

    I think it's controlled by the normal AI settings: AI strenght and AI agression you have set.

    The .rfm is not part of the core and it's not part of any content. ==> Yes it's accesable
    It's the most important file of the Vmod.;) Any league admin should have seen it. :eek:
    But most just take the default rfm to make a Vmod.

    With rF2 the .rfm is part of the Vmod to setup a server or to create a offline championship (Series)
    With GSCE or rF1: It's the file you select in the box "Select which game database to use for this server".

    The RFM defines the details of the championship/leageu including tracks available, season order of tracks, vehicles participating and so forth.

    - Lucky dog settings
    - laps pit closed/open
    - how many yellow laps
    - leader pit first
    - How to finnish with a full course yellow
    - Penalty system
    - Pit group assignment (cars of a team/pit group share a pitbox and have their garage boxes side by side: like a F1 team)
    - Parc ferme settings and when they are applicable
    - Fuel use of quali will transfer to the start of the race. (Once you set a quali lap, you can't refuel no more for the race)
    - Tire wear of quali will transfer to the start of the race (Doesn't work yet)
    - DRS settings (when are they allowed: Quali everywhere and only during the race in the DRS zone)
    - DRS during tolerance during rain/wet track
    - ... and a lot more ...

    A lot of stuff isn't applicable yet... ;)
