United Sim Racers - Season 1 - sign up thread

I lost connection randomly on SR4L server last night, I don't even think there were more than 15 drivers at the time.
The server disappeared from matchmaker, refreshed umpteen times and restarted rf2 but took a few minutes for it to appear again.
Once I got back in it seemed I was the only who lost connection.

SR4L's last league race was just after the new build was released, 20-22 drivers and no problems from what I remember.

Also race times don't bother me, I would record it if we race when F1's on. I know Ronnie always watches it live so earlier will suit him too.

 

Server stress test tommorrow 18:00 UTC/GMT.

I hope some of you can come there. I will ask help from others too by leaving a thread to the main forum.


Our three first races are Sebring, Mid-Ohio and Spa (all due this year). I was thinking g4 for Sebring... free choice model? any opinions from those who know better? I would imagine different g4 models would be pretty close in Sebring?

 

I agree, G4 for Sebring. Sure, free choice, but I'll take the 69 model in that case, I know it will be fastest
If you're going to run Sebring at the stress test tomorrow, we can find out by allowing all models.

 

We have Le Mans for stress test. Have to work on every track anyway...even on longer tracks.

But we also have Nordschleife tourist in our calendar. I think that track is much more resource hungry than Le Mans, or am I wrong?

 

probably right but it was Holley's call and it didn't come to my mind that longer track are more heavy at that moment

but we can have a good test with this nonetheless...

 

Server test done... 11 drivers showed 34% load... so pretty good. I think there were max. 14 drivers before I had to leave.

Maybe our admin know more?

 

First race starting time is now 16:30 UTC/GMT due to F1 race later that evening. (you can see what UTC time is now from USR website)

All other races start 18:00.

Ps. I'll be away this weekend and will read my mail next time on Monday.

 

Too early for me, but F1 race is a good reason to change schedule I guess.

Nikos, my intention wasn't to lose all the drivers because of this change. If it seems like nobody can come then of course I change it back to normal time. F1 isn't more important than this championship (at least now when Vettel is already a champion).

So I still want to hear people's opinion about this.

 

Personally I don't mind. I will not be watching F1.

Yes, if majority can not race early, that don`t mind me and F1. I`ll figure something out, may be I`ll skip first race.
