SOLVED rFactor 2 CHRASHES!!

Hey guys. I recently updated rFactor 2 version 300 and from there on it always quits unexpectedly when im about to play. It works everything it will quit only one it has loaded the track and I click play. Please help I dont know what to do anymore. Thank u!

 

You will need to supply much more info if you want the fine folk here to help, Your system specs, would be a good start, what you have installed in mod manager...stuff like that Then they have something to work on.

Try turn your graphics settings down to bear minimum, then try again, there was a post like this before, but I aint looking for it.

Do you use any third party mods? Most of these crashes are caused by a missing component. I would try to start with ISI components. Activate "All cars and tracks" mod, chose Megane car, Malaysia track and go to race. If this don't work you have to reinstall rFactor2.

 

Have you installed it over the old version or did you completely remove and reinstall it? Uninstalling Core+Data before installing the new ones might help, and the mods still stay installed.

 

I intermittently have an issue, but it is hard to know what it might be.

Is it every time? Is there any situation where it doesn't occur?

Like the others said what mod, any particular or all tracks?

What about plugins? Have you got any additional ones?

Driver updates? How does it crash?

As a minimum probably need to state what system you are running e.g. OS / GFX / chipset / RAM as others have alluded to, we will try and help as best we can!

 

Yes I completely deleted everything.

Wow I thank u so much! I have dashmeterpro as plugin but it worked until 2 days ago before updating rFactor 2 so thats not the issue. I tried everything! All mods and tracks, megane mod, Malaysia just every car every track and it doesnt work. Its every time. It just crashes when I click RACE. It block everything for half a second and then it closes and there written: rFactor 2 stopped working.

Oh so the document and settings folder was deleted as well. That is puzzling!

Mine seems to crash intermittently, but at the same point as you :/. What gfx card do you have?

 

Have you removed this plugin?

Also with graphics, have you tried setting the minimum and HDR off?

Have your graphics drivers been updated? Which install did you try? Lite install? Again try removing everything, backup your docs and settings rf2 folder to be called something else, that's what I do anyway start again and only install megane and some core isi tracks

OK IT WORKS!! IT WORKS FINALLY!! IM SO HAPPY THAT IT WORKED NOW...otherwise I would have thrown my pc out of the window. Thanks guys for helping cs I'm only 13 and dont really know how to work with computers :/

I hate this It wont work again! I hate it it once worked perfectly!! From one day to another....it just give up and find another program

 

Jonathan, i have the exact same issue as you when i run singleplayer and select "All Tracks & Cars" from the Series menu. If i select any of the specific mods however, then i can load a session and click the play button ("race" button actually) and i don't get an rf2 app crash.

Give it a try and let me know if it's also happening for you. Fyi, i didn't install build 300 from scratch but updated from 280 to 298 and then to 300. I also get frequent crashes online. I will need to try a new install but i don't want to do that just yet.
