Hey guys, I am thinking of picking up on rFactor 2. Coming from Iracing it seems a little less expensive.
Would you recommend Rfactor 1 or 2?
And how active is the online community?

The driving experience in rF2 is amazing, try the demo to see. Online is still slow, we just need more people to get online but there are many really good guys online who will give you a great run. I felt justified in spending the price for lifetime after having just a few online races. Plus this sim just keeps getting better.

I'd recommend buying. But still needs ALOT of work.. talking nearly a year or so with updates/new content/mods.

Well worth the "lifetime". Been there since day one. As mentioned, gets better with every build. There are some pretty good mods for it also.

If you want active online racing then rFactor and a guest account at Race2Play would likely give you your fill of racing for a mere $20 ($19.99 at amazon.com). Even if you raced it for just a few months, you'd get $20 in value :)

rF2, is definitely worth getting as well but the online/league aspect is still in the early stages. You can find races but the mod/track choice is more limited as are the number of scheduled league events.

Since I've gotten RF2, I have had no interest in IRacing, I've wasted money on IR. I also enjoy RF2 artificial intelligence more than Iracings lower level racing behavior. Lost tons of I rating and safety rating from others stupid behavior. I didn't really like rF1, but think rF2 is the bomb. Just my 2ยข .

    Hi,

I'd say get rfactor2:)...with the historic cars and tracks it's excellent.

    regards,

Don't need to decide now if you buy or not. My advice: try the demo first, and then, you'll buy it for sure ;)

Ps: ISI don't offer any refund if you don't like the demo ;)
