I am pretty sure that deleting the DATA folder will solve the issue for people. I know it is a hazzle downloading and installing things again if you have no backup componentes, but I have comfirmed this solution on me and 2 others.

Thank you very much for this new build. :)
Looking forward to see the new constraint system implemented in the cars.

I can confirm a FPS improvement for me, just tested a track I'm building. I got always stuttering in the pits, now it's constant around 40 FPS there. :)
Also it seems the reflections cost now less performance.

That's interesting. I assume you mean the Documents\rFactor2\Installed\ 'Vehicles' and 'Locations' folders specifically?

I haven't had any problems with the new build, but I should say that I have very few components installed - I only have some open wheel cars and around six tracks (I assume this is a lot less than most people), so maybe there is a component that is having problems with this new build.

As Tim has already pointed out though - it's probably not for the best if there are endless 'possible' unofficial fixes being posted by users as that can cause problems with future official solutions, but temporarily moving the Vehicles and Locations folder might be a simple one for people to try.

Autoupdater didn't work for me either but standalone (without any uninstall) worked as always. The fps improvement I get is about 10-30% depending on the track, heavy tracks like Silverstone produce biggest improvement.

In terms of colors there is less of a reddish look now which seems more natural, at least on my monitor.

I deleted everything and re-installed, and activated again, now it works again.

Fresh installation did the trick for me. All good now. Had issues a mentioned after Autoupdate before.
Yes, colors seem more natural for me too. FPS never drops below 30 (Silverstone, 16 AI).
Was between 15 and 20 at start before.

Good work ISI, THX a lot.

I made a new folder for the data. Now rf2 starts again. Tim do you think a mod could cause the problem?

I wasn't told about any lack of backwards compatibility on mods... So I can't answer that yet. Although there's more in data than mods... Jeremy is on his way home, when he gets home I am sure he will take a look.

Unfortunately right now I've been told 5 different things fix the same issue, so it's not possible to really narrow it down at all. Likely people did the same thing to fix, and just don't realise they did.

I'm leaning towards a data directory issue at the moment.

Did an auto update of 298. Once completed rF2 wont launch

Did a new lite install of 298 and reinstalled my backed up packages folder. Wont launch

Will try to narrow down possible mod conflict. May take a while. I have a lot of tracks and cars
