GTX Titan, rf2 showing 1553mb?

Installed a GTX titan today and rfactor 2 shows 1553mb in the video res pane, 1667mb in the rF2 configure Sim window.
Is this normal? And why not 6gb?

 

Many games detect these things wrong. Don't worry. It says I've got 4gb when I've actually got 1.5gb

 

I have an old 560 ti that does the exact same thing. Sometimes it shows -47mb.....

 

I have the same numbers for Titan. I never dug deep just thought the game shows it wrong.

 

Yeah i see same thing for my gtx 780 3gb. The game will use well over 1553 mb with everything cranked up though.

 

Detecting the Memory size wrong would not be an issue at all - as long the available memory is being used.

Could somebody from ISI please clarify ?

 

Every version of Windows does this, and rF2 is just showing the number reported by Windows. It's nothing to worry about. You can google it to read more.
