    Hi,

I am having problems editing the fast line for the AI cars at a track. I have added a new fast line and the cars slow down almost to a stop on pit straight just before to the start line. I checked all the way points and there doesn't seem to be any thing wrong there.

Does any one know what else the problem could be?

Also with the original AIW file the AI cars where lifting off the throttle a fraction on the main straight. Would that also be related to the AIW file?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Toggle the fast path to visible, my guess is you will then see the problem.

AI lifting throttle on s/f line - start and end points of fast path does not meet on s/f line

AI almost stop on pitlane - pitpath branch(s) might be open and they are not joining main path correctly (join branch - function on AIW editor)

    Cheers!

Normally that happens when the fast path has no smooth line.
Maybe you couldn't find the option in the editor to solve that.

In AIW editor (waypoints should be visible as default) move to "path sub menu" then choose "Visible/Actionable Path (w)" and there "Fastest".
Now drive to the part where the AI slows down and look at the white line (fast path).
If it is not smooth, select ~6 waypoints before and after the "jump" in the line and in the now opening menu choose "manipulations" and (maybe you have to scroll down a bit) "normalize curve".

    That should solve the problem.

After work unselect all waypoints again.

    Thanks for your help.

I did find there was a small shift in the fast line curve. However I couldn't find the "normalize curve" option in the "manipulations" menu. There was a only a "normalize blocks" one.

Thank goodness it wasn't those purple point helpers in Dev Mode.... I don't trust those things.

...any Ideas why the AI cut corners at any given chance?...having fun with new AIW, just seems theres no proper documentation for any small niggles like AI Cheating! ;)

Coridors? If you have tarmac inside the turn, autofinding coridors will count it as drivable surface.
