I've tried the "go slow" method and can confirm you need to do somewhat of a hotlap to get good results. Going slow makes it too easy to correct and lays down a "jaggy" line instead of a smooth racing line. The problem is on a track like Green Hell is getting over 70 corners right, not an easy task! I used a M3 for a slow attempt at a track I needed for our leagues and the members hated it. Ok, I parked that car and used Alonso's F-1 Renult and everyone liked that version heh! I haven't tried the aiw editor in rF2, is it hard to get Nordi into Dev mode? I would like to move the garage/pits to the tourist pit area instead of the tourist center and have a go at a better racing line (not that I think I'm a super driver but it could be improved).
Autosave will eventually build up rubber to a heavy layer, if you have AI cars drive it offline then save that file in game you can move it to a dedi server and it will work there. The rrbin file will save into your settings folder.
We are hosting an event on this track this week, sunday the main event, all are welcome. Would be extra delighted to welcome Pleclair on our server http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/17871-Legends-League-Williams-JPH1B-NORDSCHLEIFE-all-welcome
Turn down the texture detail from "full" to "high", this will help a lot with vram usage. Cheers, Uwe
No, I used rFactor 1 to make a new aiw file for a track we were using in our GTR2 league. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
it is really nice, fun and interesting reading your long updates Pleclair. keep the hardworking, you are gonna become the boss of rF2 modding scene when you got it finished!
After talking to my team mate in the F1 PRL league it would be a pleasure to us to provide you one (or if required some) laps with a good - and fast - raceline. Gery, who is currently leading the CPSA Racing shirt event, would drive the lap. Unfortunatly we don't know how we can drive in DevMode and where the requested data is stored. If you provide a how to - we deliver the raceline - Sent with Tapatalk
I am sure he is just writing a dissertation on the effects of non-communication to an audience expecting something. Clever Bastard.
Was this not the track used in the APEX Modding Teams FIA GT3 Mercedes SLS video recently? Maybe they have a surprise?
Working on the track to make it even better and extend it with the GP Part -) All endurance drivers are hardly waiting for this day to come - there is no other Nordschleife track close to what Pleclair did. Excellent work. Thanks. Sent with Tapatalk
