Just been for a drive - wow, wow WOW! The colours are sooo much better, much more natural and pleasing to the eye. The track looks better too. Overall, a splendid job. One or two bits of grass in the fencing but otherwise this track is looking mega. Keep up the awesome work.
does anyone else have problems with Mega? This is the second time I've tried to download a Nordschleife release, it bombs out right near the end which is frustrating. Can someone please upload a mirror?
I've had a couple of problems too but it worked on the third try (crapped out at 17% both times). I'll send a few quid your way pleclair, there's still a bit too much dust & smoke (driving the URD mod atm), but your next pint is on me (I hope 5€ buys you one over there in BC ) I couldn't find the donate link in the first post, is it buried in this thread somewhere? I've found a slight problem with the lighting: No matter if I have hdr off or one of Tosch's profiles selected, sometimes the entire track goes very dark, with the white track lines becoming very bright. This usually lasts for a few seconds, then the track returns to normal lighting again. It may be a problem with the shadows, sadly it's not reproducible and appears at different sections of the track. The download from mega worked second time round, I've got it open now in bittorrent sync to help anyone trying to get it through there. I just did a few laps on the track in the Vette and the GTR and was very impressed. Looks amazing, fantastic to drive. For a comparison I went and drove a lap of the ring in pcars. Won't go back there for a while... Great effort pleclair, other than a few gaps in the mesh there is almost nothing I could complain about, but I can see you're a perfectionist so I'm looking forward to what comes next! I've sent a thank you through paypal.
This does indeed look and feel great. Its a tad on the dark side (colors fine, just feels as if the overall brightness is a tad low) but all in all great job. Its miles better than the previous version. The colors are much more natural. Absolutely brilliant effort.
Make sure your pc clock is set correctly when attempting the download via btsync, I just saw this message on the status page: "difference more than 6,00 seconds" Cheers, Uwe EDIT: this may be due to the switch away from DST earlier today...
