If someone is interested I uploaded it to my mediafire. http://www.mediafire.com/download/b70js1vtuk82uom/Ring_Tourist_-_pleclair_-_v0.80.rfcmp
That looks amazing! I tried using it but nothing changes. I select Ring_Tourist0.8Build240V3 from the ingame menu(file is in the correct folder). Looks the exact same as none. Made sure HRD was enabled. After awhile I turn off HRD in the main menu and checked out the track. It did look much better without HRD. Re-enable it for Silverstone again selecting HRD profiles didn't change anything on track visually. There seems to a default HRD profile that i can't change. Never had this issue before. Can anyone help please.
The GDB parameters have changed a bit for rF2, for example here's the entries for Silverstone: Latitude = 52.0712 // degs from Equator (range: -90 to 90, positive is Northern Hemisphere) Longitude = -1.0173 // degs from GMT (-180 to 180, positive is East) Altitude = 153.0 // meters above sea level RaceDate = July 08, 2012 // default date for the race TimezoneRelativeGMT = 0.0 // hours compared to Greenwich Mean Time (should be negative to the West) DSTRange=(1.0, 1.0, 0, 9999) // (start day 1.0-367.0, end day 1.0-367.0, start year, end year); multiple lines allowed As you can see North Direction has been dropped in favour of Longitude.
If me was doing this, i would say thank you and please. It would be very cool What about creating this track by your self from scratch. I know its a monster of a track but is it really worth the time to edit the available one. I'm not sure. Edit: btw a suggestion to anybody working on a NS, don't call the track by its original name, call it Green Hill or something like that. I'm not sure about laws but not that it will end in a disaster because of licensing. As we know the NS itself is in a disaster atm. May it makes someone sensible or smelling dollars, especially by supporting this by a pro dev Studio of car simulation.
OK, I did some measurements using the Ring_2007 Tourist model in 3dsimed and Google Maps and Earth: The origin of the coordinate system (x=0,y=0,z=0) is: Latitude: 50.356852° Longitude: 6.962228° Altitude: 0 m To fill this in, assuming coordinate system origin is used for Altitude (otherwise don't know what to use, Nordschleife Altitude = 320m - 620m). Race Date is 24h Nordschleife Race Start May 19, 2013 (if you want full moon take May 25, 2013). May is Central European Summer Time = GMT+2. Latitude = 50.3568 // degs from Equator (range: -90 to 90, positive is Northern Hemisphere) Longitude = 6.9622 // degs from GMT (-180 to 180, positive is East) Altitude = 0.0 // meters above sea level RaceDate = May 19, 2013 // default date for the race TimezoneRelativeGMT = 2.0 // hours compared to Greenwich Mean Time (should be negative to the West) DSTRange=(1.0, 1.0, 0, 9999) // (start day 1.0-367.0, end day 1.0-367.0, start year, end year); multiple lines allowed
No lights or flags Fluro purple / green colors from ripple strips when I pass close ( GTX670) ============ Too flat compared to the quick convert for mine. The grip level feels like real road is not working. ====================== As for track naming what a typical ISI lovers hypocritical statement when you people pilfer other peoples work like Mr. Jim Pearson's Dundrod and Isle of Man . Well ??? WHY should I give a flying frig about ISI or licences or track names. YOU TELL ME !
Re: [WIP] Nordschleife Tourist I must improve my English. It is difficult to understand what you mean. Real road works fine for me. Grip level increases normally. What the hell is the "quick convert for mine"? I simply don't understand Enviado desde mi GT-I9505 usando Tapatalk 2
QUICK CONVERT = Quick conversion NORDS75 is a quick conversion and it still has more feel. NO FLAGS NO LIGHTS PURPLE and GREEN FLASHES from RIPPLE STRIPS with a GTX670 VIDEO CARD. comprendo edit: Strobing Purple / Green flashes from the ripple strips made me feel a bit sick.
I think the tracks surface has to be smoothed out a lot! The real Nordschleife is bumpy, yes, but not like that! Besides of that, great work. Is very fun. Oner other thing though: The waypoints for exiting the pits are still setup to the cone-chikane you normaly have on touristenfahrten (sverving across the track once).
Awesome screenshot! (don't forget to post it in the screen shot thread too for all others ppls pleasure not following this thread)
looks like you have done the GP track as well will you be releasing it http://i.imgur.com/yVP4HIJ.jpg
I also think that some up or downhill sections are a bit over the top, compared to the real track. "Flugplatz" is a steep climb for sure, but the car catches air there much too easily, same goes for the crest into the left-hander right after "Pflanzgarten", the car just catches air way too easy there as well. Maybe the crests and some of the bumps are over-exaggerated due to the type of road smoothing during the conversion? Still, its a damn good piece of work, don't get me wrong Thank you again for all the efforts. Just trying to add a few thoughts based on my experience on the track.
Elevation and banking translate horribly to video. Without proper reference those are probably the original authors' best guess and he might exagarate to make up for video reference which makes a lot of stuff look flatter than it really is. Smoothing actually chips off the peaks in both directions
