Petros has said that the cars in rf1 and (probably in rf2) are ready and what they have to do is physics and better graphics
Wich reflection issue do you have, can i know? im been experimenting with rf2 a lot and sometimes can fix those issues, is the reflection normal afected by the mapping? wich software do you use to export the meshes to rf2? Max, 3DSimed? I would love to help.
We've actually fixed it since then. Thanks for asking anyway. We do not use 3DSimed. We use 3DS Max always.
Hi All, Thought I would round of this year with some preview pictures here to show where we are currently with F1 2008, although the pictures are from a slightly earlier build, my current dev build has drivers in them. On behalf of the team I would like to wish everyone a Great Christmas and a prosperous New Year
Did you have to show the ugliest-f1-car-of-all-times Earth Dreams Honda? Noe no one will want to d/l the mod!
Sums it up nicely! When I look at the Mak version I get slightly nauseated.... which means you did a terrific job!
My god these cars look just like the real thing! One of my favorite F1 seasons ever and it's coming to my fav sim. Thank you!!
Bwahahahaha I'm quite glad I didn't have to model this car. Besides the livery, I also didn't find this car's shape to be attractive.
It's being worked on. I can't say too much but I have been in the process of trying out some things with them and how to best implement certain features into them. It seems slow progress because I've had to periodically put it on hold for various reasons, be it working on other things that take priority or other personal things, but rest assured it is still being worked on and will be put out at some point once we're happy with it.
Mod is not cancelled. All cars are in game but with ISI's changes to tire model in rF2 we're re-building all the tires. It takes time and requires a lot of testing. It's 11 different teams guys. Progress is going well so stay tuned.
I'd hazard a guess that there would be heaps of different tyres used, altered for each different track, etc. Then split into different compounds per track too. I do wonder how rF2 caters for grooved tyres, I guess it's not any different to treaded tyres though eh.
