This does not bode particularly well: http://www.virtualr.net/fia-gt3-for-rfactor-2-development-stopped

Not surprising, and I honestly doubt we will see even a small percentage of the number of quality mods that we saw for RF1.

We'll have some great GT3 cars. I agree that tires are an issue and ISI should really address this issue by making a bunch of generic period tires of various sorts for modders to grab off the shelf and use. From 50's rock hard rubber (skinny tires and fat drivers LOL) right up to modern tires (of course, we already have GT and GP tires from the modern era)

I think what will eventually emerge (or should I say WHO will eventually emerge) is someone who gets into the challenge of rF2 tires and works on just tire modding. There are already lots of modders who are into graphics and sounds, less into physics (but they are out there) but no sim up until rF2 has required the services of a tire guy. Modding groups are going to have to get onboard and find a tire guy if they want to mod for rF2 seriously.

Great Idea and I agree this is worthy of its own thread, I like the idea of grabbing a Mod and saying to my mates this should be good, such and such a modder did the tyres and all his tyres a spot on...Cool. The other part about ISI having off the shelf tyres for certain types of cars...again +1 :D

rob Montoya take the old post of gilles (2 months ago) and made a new news with him....

for clarify the things : we continue to work on the gt3 mod for rf2 , we made some progress on tgm files and rendering ingame , so everything is on a good way.

I guess we'll see. I could be wrong but isn't this one also the one where it wasn't clear even from early on whether it was AC or rf2? In fact I think I saw a story about this where the title said mod was for AC but in story said rf2 or vice versa LOL. Again I could be confusing with another mod but I don't think so. Also website with story coukd have made mistake like with this one. Regardless, as with any mod I will believe it when I see it but am indeed getting tires in general of all the hype from everywhere. If I see another screenshot from AC I am going to vomit. :)
