Fantastic work WSGT2 Team, I have just done a 15 lap race with a field of 22 AI cars around Mid Ohio, and have had a ball. Mod is optimised very well imho, with no frame rate issues, or shadow problems. Take a bow guys. A BIG THANK YOU for your work.
I think also, the best non-ISI car, Thank You. : D It is a little FPS hungrier than the ISI Megane. There is a small graphical error below the windshield and the screen is dark in the replay when the car comes very close. FFB feels about the central position very well. Sound I also very successful, he could be a bit bassy sound onboard. So, I can not wait to other cars of WSGT2 : D
first of all thank you but i got a question whats the difference between your mod and the vanilla megane?
I find the isi megan is more active, the tail is a bit loose, somehow the driving behavior is more complex. But the SMGT Megane is really great too, the external sound is better I think. Now we have almost a good car twice. But the most important is that we have now get a foretaste, of what still comes from SMGT
I don't know much about these cars as i only drive historics but i can say is definitely a unique feel.
I had a quick race yesterday with this new Megane@Mid-Ohio and was a real big fun. pro: this car got a unique personality, fantastic brakes, precise steering, very nice tyre sound. cons: It is pretty hard for me to control the car when I lose the rear (due to powersteer or centrifugal forces) and maybe the cockpit sound is a bit weak. Great job guys, that's what RF2 needs right now. Thank you.
Oh yeah almost forgot to mention. Thanks for good tire sounds. Unlike ISI sandpaper sound. ISI should take note that no modder to date has used that crappy sandpaper sound. Thank you modders!
Hm of course there is a point and if this point is exceeded you loose the rear. But I like this physics because before you loose the rear the bandwith to the limit is for my feeling wide and the feedback is pretty good. Mod's providing this feeling with the availability to control the loose rear of the car over a long time are very rare (Not to forget with some setup tweaking this can be changed if you dont like it and there are many other parts that affect this behavior. Like input lag caused by to high gfx settings or to much AI driver or ffb settings....
