No spinner (build 240)

I've had this issue for quite some time, can't remember exactly when it started, but the spinner hasn't been working for a long time.

Whenever I want to check out a car in the showroom, I get this:



No matter which option I pick from the Customize menu (Garage, reflective ground or picture), I'm not able to see the cars in 3D. It does this with any car/series I pick, and with "All Cars and Tracks" as well. When pressing enter to go full screen, it just shows the grayish background.

I have not yet re-installed rFactor 2, since I was kinda saving that as a last resort. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

I get the car coming up in b240 but it takes a heck of a long time to appear.

 

How long does it take, approximately?

 

Try to ALT-TAB out of rFactor2 and ALT-TAB back into rFactor2.
Did the trick on my side

 

Yeah, I've seen that solution being mentioned before, so I tried that. Didn't help.

many game build versions ago, this happened to myself and a few others, i was able to resolve the problem by deleting my player.plr file, this will allow the game to rebuild a new default player.plr the next time you launch the game.
comparing the old and new files gave no clue to why it happened, but it did fix the issue.
can't hurt to try.

 

Tried everything - new player, new install to different location, waited for minutes, tried Alt+Tab, changed showroom - nothing??
