Hi, I have searched and searched but cannot find an answer for this. I am in the process of building a race simulator at home. It will have a 4 metre wide by 1.6 metre curved screen that sits about 1.7metres away from the driving position. I will also be building a mock chassis with roof, windscreen etc (Touring Car/GT sim). The problem I have I need to hide the car/chassis in game as I will have the mock chassis and digital dash. In essence all I want to see is the road and scenery wizzing by. I have found options to hide mirrors, wheel etc. I know you can do it in RFactor Pro but cannot justify the huge investment. Is this available in rFactor 2? Thanks Rob
There are plenty of camera options. Most cars will have a Bonnet/Hood cam and they can all be adjusted. I know nothing about setting up a curved screen, does it need to be accommodated in the software on top of normal FOV and 'Multiview' adjustment?
Go into the .ini file There is a command that say something like. "Show wheels & suspension only" & "show wheels only" That should go the trick (Your cockpit should hide wheels)
Cheers for the replies. KaptainKremen: i had seen the camera type but needed to see the wheels. AdrianStealth that's exactly what I was looking for as I wanted to show the wheels and build the cockpit to match the width. Once again guys thanks for the answers.
Hi, I am going to look stupid now but could anyone point me in the right direction to the correct .ini file that would contain the "Show Wheels & Suspension Only" etc as mentioned in AdrianStealths post above. I have searched high an low and cant find any mention of them anywhere.
That would be the UserData/player/player.plr file. Look for the following line: Code: Partial Cockpit View="0" // 0=normal cockpit view, 1=wheels & suspension only, 2=wheels only
