Hi folks, We haven't previously announced licensing in any kind of official capacity, but I didn't feel passing up this weekend was a good idea, so we've made an understated post on our Web site, listing what we have so far. http://rfactor.net/web/2013/05/24/announcing-indy-500-licensing-for-rfactor2/ There is also an early development screenshot from the building of the track in the post. IMS is expected to be released after Silverstone, which is in the later stages of production now. Thanks, Tim
Impressive! Will Indy Road Course be in a configuration that is used by GrandAm now and F1 before? Or only MotoGP version? Or both?
Great timing....you've ensured that rFactor 2 will be the only racing game I purchase in the foreseeable future, and not the awful looking Grid 2....
Great news about the cars ! About the track, does it mean that there's no apron version for example ?
(use Merge Threads Tim ) Good to see ISI/Tim took notice of the "News" thread and actually used the website news section for once Great news about INDY and the cars, had a sneaky suspicion when Tim went there last year so well happy they got the license done. Also on the news section: ISI is pleased to announce that the agreement with Renault for rFactor2 licensing has been extended. Current vehicles available include: Formula Renault 3.5 Renault Megane Trophy II Renault Clio 197 The extension allows us to keep these files available for download on our Web site, and gives further options for cars to add to the product in the future. again...good work Tim looking forward to future updates and whatever ISI produce as extras.
We actually do have the option to create historic versions of Indy under the terms of the agreement. We will have to make a decision when the time comes.
With the modern Dallara DW12 license that is the modern chassis correct? Will we see any of the real teams/drivers? License is amazing can't wait for the track/cars
Will the DW12 be made with both the road and oval aero configurations? They are so drastically different its practically a different car, from a visual perspective.
As per another thread Tim, does this mean a decent Oval Specific AI is being worked on? or will it be just the base code tweaked for Oval so to speak?
