I like how the new font looks but I agree that it can be confusing because of "1" alignment is bad.

    New message today:

Checking for updates. Please wait for result.
The current build is up to date.
Getting verification data. Please wait for result.
Invalid path submitted by this application or there is any error with the verification service.

    My build still is 198.

But it seems as if someone is working at the autoupdater-service.....hope so :)

Or you could just use the lite installer and install it over your current rF2 install. Tim-approved.

Since the beginning I just always download the full version and install right over the old one.. Data kept on a separate drive. No issues. Recommended.

Automatic uodate still not working, but now in a different way ...
    View attachment 7793

Perhaps for someone whith one rfactor installation its easy to make the update in a different way, but when you have more than 20 rfactor installations to update, each one whith difrerent and custom mods, the automatic update helps you a lot.

We can update in different ways; this is the way we are going to do it now:

    1) Stop the rfactor server
    2) Copy this folders:
    #installed\Locations\
    #Installed\rfm\
    #installed\sounds\
    #installed\vehicles\
    #manifests\
    3) Install the new buid
    4) Paste the folders

And this whith every installation. Its not difficult; is only an extra work. Its the same way a customer without modmanager access upload their custom mods/tracks to a remote server.

For these guys, just tell them its easy; use this steps:

    1) Stop the rfactor server or game. Then ZIP your actuall rfactor installation; to have a backup of this latest build.
    2) Copy this folders to desktop:
    #\Core\installed\Locations\
    #\Core\Installed\rfm\
    #\Core\installed\sounds\
    #\Core\installed\vehicles\
    #\Core\manifests\
    3) Then delete all inside your rFactor installation folder. Keep only the folder name. Install the new buid in this same folder.
    4) Paste the folders in desktop to the new installation.

Test ... if it dont work then delete all inside the rFactor folder and unzip your backup where it was ... you are still in build 198 ;)

here you got a video explaining how to install mod into a remote dedicated server, in spanish, but can "see" how to do it.

I also like to keep controller files and player /settings folder (where your setups and skins are). You also lose your best laps info if you don't copy certain files.

Same here, usually more than 100 fps in some places on different tracks including ISI ones and now no more than 68 max and I can see 28 fps at Portugal, Brianza in main straight...

So this build introduces jaggies, FPS drop, lag on connect-disconnect online and autoupdater not working :( I kinda wish it wasn`t released...

as mentioned elsewhere I saw jaggies in this build with x4 AA that I rarely had before, lowering to x3 and it's as good as x4 in previous builds!?! no fps loss either, using HD7850

I really don't understand the AA levels in this game, particularly with AMD cards. I normally force 4xMSAA in catalyst.

    If someone is interested....
I've created a *zip-file which includes only the files that have been changed from Build 198 to Build 218.
    (Tested with total commander)

You just have to extract the Content into your gamedirectory.

Yot get the *zip-file here: Download

Why everybody wants auto update at this stage? wait a little, meanwhile, lite version, anyone?

Move your packages, player/settings folder, unistall, install, move again your packages, player/settings folder, install, voila!!!
