I am getting stuttering but only at Poznan 1.0 and the new Portugal and Mills tracks. I tried many combinations of various syncs, max frame rate, HDR on/off, turning special effects, reflections, shadows, etc, etc. off and nothing gets rid of the stuttering. ALL other tracks I am maxed out with HDR with silky smooth 60fps video sync. My video card is amd 5900 series. Many thanks in advance for any thoughts.
I have a problem with my left arm/hand atm so I can`t do any actual driving myself but sent the AI out on the new updated tracks last night and never noticed any stuttering of any kind...
I've noticed heavy stuttering at Portugal too. Also the emerging landscape when watching replay... hills, forest, objects disappear and reappear. Can't remember if this was before update becuase I didn't drive the track very much.
a lot of stuttering in portugal while exiting the pits and some corners, running GTX690 with 320.00 drivers...palm beach and mills, no issue whatsoever.
I've noticed a lot of slowdowns at Portugal, but that's generally with AI cars involved. Most tracks run a smooth 60fps on near max settings with no AI. Even AI cars sitting stationary in their pit boxes sends the fps tumbling. Hopefully some optimisation is on the way because the performance of this game is not particularly good as it stands.
Same as you and I have two GTX680 in SLI. Do not have this problem when running only one card. Try disabling SLI in your 690. Hope ISI is going to fix this problem soon
well, emptied "whatever:\Rfactor2\UserData\Log\Shaders", disabled wind and crowd motion, disabled the shadows, did not help with Portugal... all other tracks are good to go.
Try using the windows task manager, click on the processes tab, find rfactor2.exe right click it go to set pritory and change it too high. This helped this issue on my computer
Disable mirrors. That is the only thing that fixed the stuttering and fps slowdown on these three tracks.
That did it! Portugal is now almost silky smooth and both Mills and Poznan are much better although not perfect but definitely drivable now. Thanks!!!! Now, is this a known problem? Has this ever been a problem in the past? Has ISI acknowledged this?
