Yea, no problem. Just send me the updated files. Or I'll get them in the next update of this project?
Hi Twista, I don't want to start a frog-mouse war, but because you said me,that you're a bit of a stickler for perfection, I'd like to point out that your skin #55,has the same imperfection as mine. Our skins have on the front fender 3 dots, yours: View attachment 7297 mine: View attachment 7298 but the real car View attachment 7299 has more. Anyway, except some similar small things, your work is perfect and I'd like to thank you for your free time you had to sacrifice guys.
Ah okay, I'll fix that in the update. Thanks for pointing it out. I know there are a few mistakes on other cars that'll be rectified too.
Previous example was thought in a different way. When you take someone's finished skin, and slightly modify logos (their size, location, color tone etc.), really got the impression that you are the author? You are entitled to do it,skins that you used were available to everyone for non-commercial use but...I think it's just about decency and respect for the work of other enthusiasts. The last sentence in my previous post is meant seriously,I dont want to disparage your work, unfortunately you doing it with your attitude to work of others. Howgh
Pictures of Magogs skin --> http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/7520-Post-your-RF2-car-skins-here/page2 They do look very much the same?
If I would go and make that skin it would also look pretty much the same ... Its just a recreation of a real life skin. The reason for the few dots is because it is the easiest way to do the skin. No texture bending and so on.
All of my skins were scratch made. If you want, I'll make a less accurate version next time around, just to be sure. In all seriousness though, I would never do something like that. I've had the misfortune of having my professional work stolen, I know it's crappy. Plus, you've seen my other work. My stuff is fairly accurate usually, so of course they're going to look largely similar to one another. And an update on the update - there'll be a small one tonight/tomorrow. I'm going to fix the #55 livery, and some other bits and pieces. Helmets are harder to find than I expected, so they might take a while.
Sorry I can't help myself...take into account your precision, your car is much more similar my (old) version than real-life template,it's not just about 3 dots. After your PM about lack of precision skins on forum I was expecting something like photorealistic bomb. I got sufficiently quality mod,but contains exactly the same imperfections as "unsatisfactory" versions on forum. Why? If you used the photos as a template I see no reason to repeat the same mistakes. These lacks aren't on photos. But i have good idea...if possible, let it be, surely we have more important things to do. I'll try to trust your explanation. Peace and Love
It's just a byproduct of the pattern on the car. The National logo on the rear quarter means I had to make a specific pattern, and I just repeated it along the car. I imagine you did the same, and that's why it came out that way. Anyways, it's been fixed, and it'll be a part of the update tomorrow.
Hey everyone, sorry it's taking so long to get this update out, I've got a ton of work going on at the moment. I'll try and get it out by the weekend.
