Had an hour of playtime with this mod and its amazing. The engine sounds put a huge smile on my face. The ffb detail is excellent and cars handle great. For me these are the best cars I've ever driven in a sim.

Seriously, I know it's unfair towards Ales, but damn I've been waiting for a decent GT sim since 2010. GTR2 is outdated, Evo is outdated, Shift is crap, Shift 2 is crap, GTR3 was binned... there's a huge gap he's going to fill here once this is complete.

I still dream that some larger studio would dare do a fully licensed WEC sim. Including a "tactics" mode to set up race strategy, two simulated AI drivers per team splitting the load with the player, time accelaration, driver change in first person view, mechanical failures... the full Le Mans experience done right. Rally, Formulas, even GTs have been simulated often enough. No one ever did proper endurance racing for offline players.

 

If we got that I don't think I'd ever leave home again!

 

Indeed that'd be nice But Ales and co. can reach very far up that road with this - and some improvements here and there on the rF2 game and it's features...

I dream of doing a 24H Le Mans race (full grid, 56 cars) on rF2 with two or three mates, while watching the real race alongside... Against fine-tuned AI's and such... Would be cool!

Two or three computers hooked up together, one running a dedicated server where the other computers are on, running 24H real time Le Mans race alongside the real thing... Each PC would then have a car of say LMP1, LMP2 and GTE class and then we could take turns on each PC/class (stints/sleep(kidding!)) against AIs... And allow AI toggle if one needs a sleep while the rest are busy in other stints/cars... Man oh man that'd be kewl!

I was just on MM and couldn't find the server. I saw the SAS-BTCC League but not the URD server
