Black cars look gray in the showroom with HDR on and off. But on the track they are only gray if HDR is off. Out of curiosity, at the people that are forced to is HDR on ATI/AMD cards? I have a 5770.
I am running an nVidia GT 650M SLI and getting the greyed out shader issue as well, with HDR off, and reflections on all 3d objects with HDR on.
I have an old nvidia 9800gt and as I said, I have HDR on, I get gray skins in tuning showroom, but they are ok ingame.
somebody finally tell us what going wrong with that? alpha channels in textures? see on tires in Marussia, only TWALL is grey, TTREAD is black like before update, so its texture's mistake

Cars are washed out for me in showroom, but in game, they have "flat" or "matte" finish to them in-game. No shiny reflections, AT ALL. I used auto-update. AMD Radeon 7850. NI never use HDR

Same problem as is writen in this topic. After updating to 198 this occurred for the first time. After I went back to 156 the cars still looked grey with no HDR or in showroom. Then I deleted everything in path UserData\Log\Shaders and the problem was solved. I gues 198 is causing this problem. Shaderfiles seem to be alot smaller then 156 build. HDR isn't a option for me because it kills fps. So is this problem adressed to the devteam? Is their a solution on the way?
Another strange thing is that on CLIO for example, when you look at the front of car the front doesn't seem to be the same lighting as the rest of the car. You can see it HDR ON & OFF I think (grey or not), Who does know where this bug can come from? A bug in the template PSD and on the dds skin file or bad material mapping on the 3D model???
Still playing build 156 here....Is there any change of the devs to respond on this topic. Or do I have to wait untill the next build and hope the shader problem is solved?
