Not working, i have clean new install and nothing happens, tryed hdr off, on rebuilding it and everything. Problems dont go away. It seems that specular texture and skins are beeing changed out like the skin is beeing working as specular and spec texture as main skin.

Did it several times, as SpeedRacer suggested, but didn't work for me.
Can I put b156 shaders into b198 shaders folder?

    Same here.
I usually play with HDR, so it's ok on track, but anyway, the problem exist like
    above described.

198 is the first I've run in to this problem, my main concern is with shadows/reflections displaying incorrectly/irregularly when changing reflection settings via the UI.

After a full install of 198 everything seems to be running okay - other than the (over)brightness the front windshield projects with HDR on - maybe a client side problem, though.

How did you replace 198 shaders with those from 156?

How does something like this make it past QA when ISI is releasing this update to its *paying* community???

Do we really need to waste time doing a reinstall of a full 198 release and mods etc to get back to what was fine in 156, come on man...

    Environment reflections on for me.

I tried with HDR off, all car skins look greyed out.

Tried with HDR on, all car skins look ok, but now also the other 3d objects (like at spa the trailers/campers) all have reflections as well, FPS killer right there for sure.

Sorry, but this 198 release is a big ole cluster f--k if you ask me, never should have made it out the door...

Here are the changelog notes below (NOTE: They even screwed up the build # in their notes!!!).
The reflection parameter they adjusted now seemed to cause reflections on all other 3d objects, including the cars.
To me it also seems that whatever code the put back into 198 is old, and overriding whatever code was used in the shader fix in 156.

I fell back to B156 shaders (from backup) and now it works for me also with HDR OFF.

Edit: This only worked one time for me. Then rF2 rebuilt the shaders. Tried swapping a couple of more times. No dice. So back to HDR on

Maybe someone can zip up the 156 shaders (about 300K) and put them up for us to download, so we at least have a workaround till ISI fix it...hopefully.

I'm not completely sure but I think shaders are 'custom' built according to every one video-card (that's why they are not there just after install), so I think it is not possible to use other people's shaders on your configuration.

And turning HDR on and off rebuilds shaders.
