Gerald plugin crashes the server after a certain time (not specified) I remove the plugin and there 24hrs without crashing. I have another plugin ... the vmliveview that alone does not crash the server. Hence the deduction .. I hope this can help you return to work around this concern.
Ok i will monitor it. ******************** Ok je vais le laisser tourner en debug et voir ce que ça donne. Tu lui envoyais des updaye meteo pendant tout ce temps ou tu as juste laissé tourné sans envoyer d'update de condition meteo?
Gerald, your plugin works like a charm... We have now 2 separated server instances running with Realtime Weather. Silverstone for the next F1-GP and Loch Drummond in Scotland for fun races. It's nice to see the temps growing in the morning and dropping in the evening. Loch Drummond is really rainy these days, and if it gets too worse, I simply switch to the user mode and fix the sunshine till the rain is over Comes in very handy! Only thing that irritates me, is that in User-Mode, the Weather switches back to default Weather after some hours or a day. But with a simple "Send Weather to server", it's all fixed again. @Lucky: Geralds Wheater Plugins are running on our servers since he made them public and we never ever had a single server crash since. But for the vmliveview, we had a lot of issues and it kept our server crashing in several rf2 builds and it never worked as it should.
Just let it run Gerald Maybe I'm confusing the right plugin? Realtime _Plugin is one I install. I have not put anything else It is not hard to by I see 2 5 ° difference with the real circuit, but it is not bad. Server Open in Mid'Ohio...to be continued ************ Juste laisser tourner @ hockel I'll let it run in this case one server with the weather and without vmliveview to see. By cons with no worries vmliveview
Gerald, i'm trying to install the realtime weather, but i see nothing? Paths: Weatherserver.ini and weatherserver.exe in C:\Games\rFactor 2 Install 3\Realtime_Server WeatherServer.ini contains: // Weather Server ini file [RFACTOR2] // The directory containing the "core" directory CorePath=C:\Games\rFactor 2 Install 3\Core // The directory where GDB/AIW will be extracted GDBExtractPath=C:\Games\rFactor 2 Install 3\Plugins\TrackMap\Tracks [SERVER] Port=34297 DefaultWeatherUndergroundAPIKey=043..... my API WeatherControlPlugin.dll in C:\Games\rFactor 2 Install 3\Plugins created C:\Games\rFactor 2 Install 3\Plugins\TrackMap\Tracks. Placed WeatherControlPlugin.ini in C:\Games\rFactor 2 Install 3\UserData\player. Contains: // [Plugin] Port=3429 [Server] Address=localhost Port=666 Is the port open, yes, because when i choose another port, the rF2 server will not start, it say's that ports are closed. When i start the weatherserver, i see nothing. Just a grey table.
I think the port server must be the same Paths: Weatherserver.ini and weatherserver.exe in C:\Games\rFactor 2 Install 3\Realtime_Server WeatherServer.ini contains: // Weather Server ini file [RFACTOR2] // The directory containing the "core" directory CorePath=C:\Games\rFactor 2 Install 3\Core // The directory where GDB/AIW will be extracted GDBExtractPath=C:\Games\rFactor 2 Install 3\Plugins\TrackMap\Tracks [SERVER] Port=34297 DefaultWeatherUndergroundAPIKey=043..... my API ************************************************ [Plugin] Port=3429 [Server] Address=localhost Port=34297
Your Weather Server is on the same PC (IP address) than the plugin ? If Port match and IP address match, i see only a firewall issue.
Yes, both on same PC (See info few post back, all maps are on same PC). So, firewall for port 666 internal?
Don't know, if your port match and it is not only used by another process, all should work. Please copy your full ini (except API key) for the Weather Server and the Plugin. Thanks
Port is working for sure ini files; Weather Server . ini: // Weather Server ini file [RFACTOR2] // The directory containing the "core" directory CorePath=C:\Games\rFactor 2 Install 3\Core // The directory where GDB/AIW will be extracted GDBExtractPath=C:\Games\rFactor 2 Install 3\Plugins\TrackMap\Tracks [SERVER] Port=34297 DefaultWeatherUndergroundAPIKey=043xxxxxxx [Plugins] count=0 Weather plugin .ini (located in userdata folder): // [Plugin] Port=34297 [Server] Address=localhost Port=666 (Same info as i posted earlier )
So, it is not good as lagg said In your Weather plugin.ini you have a port for the server equals to 666. So the plugin will send info to this port. But your server (WeatherServer.ini) listen to the 34297 port. So it cannot work. In the WeatherPlugin.ini you updated the port where the plugin listen data coming from the server instead of updating the port where the server listen.
i tried that also, // [Plugin] Port=34297 [Server] Address=localhost Port=34297 That is also not working, i see no found plugins in the WeatherServer. See:
ah, i switched the 2 ports and working alright now. // [Plugin] Port=666 [Server] Address=localhost Port=34297
Green info must be equals. Green & Orange must be different Weather Server . ini: Code: // Weather Server ini file [RFACTOR2] // The directory containing the "core" directory CorePath=C:\Games\rFactor 2 Install 3\Core // The directory where GDB/AIW will be extracted GDBExtractPath=C:\Games\rFactor 2 Install 3\Plugins\TrackMap\Tracks [SERVER] [B][COLOR="#008000"]Port=666[/COLOR][/B] DefaultWeatherUndergroundAPIKey=043xxxxxxx [Plugins] count=0 Weather plugin .ini (located in userdata folder): Code: // [Plugin] [B][COLOR="#FF8C00"]Port=34297[/COLOR][/B] [Server] Address=localhost [B][COLOR="#008000"]Port=666[/COLOR][/B]
R-B: If think your CorePath must be "CorePath=C:\Games\rFactor 2 Install 3" instead of "CorePath=C:\Games\rFactor 2 Install 3\Core". As it must point the directory containing the "core" directory. Definitely, i have choosen a wrong name for this entry
So, which one is going to "outside" and connects to weatherunderground? the 666 in this case? @ Gerald, oke. But it looks like working now? Haven't change the patch yet.
It is the Weather Server who contact the website. The plugin have no inteligence, it is only a door to configure rF2 from inside. The CorePath is only used to find ModMgr.exe to be able to extract GDB file from MAS to retrieve the lat/long of the track
