Nice ! That specular thing is weird, could it be because of the name of the specular dds ? If you named your file the same as one included in the track, it'll load the track file first. It's unlikely, but we never know.

It appears in RF1, that the original modder loved the Williams, because if I drive the McLaren Honda, I end up being 2.2-2.8s per lap slower. BUT, if I drive the Williams Renault, I am only .6-.8s slower than my Williams teammate (Usually Patrese). It's as if they made the Williams too fast, but in 1991, Senna won the championship.

I would "like" (a request, not a demand) to slow down the Williams, or speed up the McLaren.

 

Its quite possible the Williams was the better car, Sena was the best driver of all time arguably so he didn't need the best car to win. Great drivers have won many championships when they haven't been in the best car so this is also possible and it is probably correct to have the Williams perform better.

 

1/ Senna won the first 4 races when Mansell had only a 2nd place, and Mansell spent the rest of the year trying to close down the gap (which he did). Probably the modders decided that the Williams was faster over the year.

2/ There is NOT 2s between those two cars. The cars are quite different to drive, it's probably that you're more comfortable with the Williams.

Great job converting this car, i really love the sound of it. I've seen the video and i dont understand why the steering is wobbling on a straight line, is it the IA driving? or is the FFB still not right? Another thing i think you should do is remove the arms until you get to make work ISI's arms.

Have to say that i've seen this car in real lapping around Valencia with the V10's and V8's, and i can assure the sounds of this thing is insane, twice as loud as modern F1, simply indescribable.

Thanks Glenn. Maybe I can drive the McLaren better in RF2, due to the tire physics.

 

This is true, no matter how I try and setup the McLaren, I cannot get the oversteer out of it. I've even went something like this with wings : 30 (front) 45 (rear), and still can't get off the corner. Putting more "power" differential doesn't help either.

 

Oh, this will be very nice to run, can't wait either!
