I never figured out how Rik went so fast and could still keep it straight and smooth. I had the car sideways and power sliding every curve just to go that fast, while he's just on another easy Sunday drive. It's like he had the IndyCar and everyone else had the EVE F1 lol.

To be fair on yourself you missed the apex by a fair bit that lap looks like, doubt anyone could have saved that.

    P.S.
Hey if you up for it I put up a Longford mod with all ISI cars you can prac all Historics but no G4, she still won't play nice with online mod.

My G27 has four years of use (not abuse) without any issue.

    Cheers.

Yes. But there is no "! ! F3-ROOKIES" in my server list anywhere. Closest I have is "! ! F3-FANATICS" but no rookies."

Gonna try this tomorrow maybe, but is it really necessary to remove the wheel from the base?
Can I only unscrew the bottom to access the encoder with the wheel still attached?
    Thanks!

No, the wheel gets in the way of taking the cover off (it doesn't lift off straight).

Great thread, could have done with this 6 years ago.

I'm hoping someone here has had the issue I'm now getting though, I had the split encoder wheel many years back and have since replaced it with the brass encoder wheel from CMLaser (iirc).
The centring issue has returned though.

I've pulled the wheel apart yet again and checked the encoder wheel to make sure it wasn't slipping on the motor but, it's secure, I've checked the encoder PCB and that is secure too.
I'm hoping someone may have an idea of what's now causing the problem and i'm praying it's not the encoder it self that's finally giving up, not sure I can find a replacement if it is.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers,
    Dave.

Latest dx11 builds and cars are introducing a lot of unexplained controller issues. I had same problem had to delete player folder. Controller folder and do verify files in steam to get new folders with new files. After restart all good again.

Several years ago I retired my well worn Momo & bought a new G27.
A nice wheel but the off center problem occurred after only a few of months.
I researched into the issue & found this thread.
Not wanting to void the warranty, I contacted Logitech & they said to return it to the seller for replacement.
I returned it but there were no new ones left & I got a full refund instead.
All very well but I then had no wheel. Back to the old Momo, what a comedown.
I looked at other new comparable wheels but there was a big jump in price at that time.
So in the finish I bought a known low millage DFGT.
It does all I need really but I'm now wishing I had kept the G27 & made the fix.

I'm hoping this is the culprit, it seems to be so far, an extended session on R3E saw no issues, seems odd though.

@rocky289 You've probably dodged a bullet by not getting a G27, it's not a bad wheel at all but, it's very expensive for what it is and the build quality is awful. Logitech are good at returns if an item is in warranty but useless at anything else from my experience.

Thanks for the replies gents, they're much appreciated. :)
