I know that rFactor 2 is an nVidia favor game, so I dont know what GPU will do better. My main game will be rF2, so for that reason I want the GPU that works better in rF2, at the same price. Anyone can help me?
Hi Viso, you know me, because of the other post, I think you should get 7950, is far better than 660, it can get near a 680 in OC (If you have enough money take Msi 7950). With the modify we discussed, i got great fps improvements, 160 avg, in fullhd, fxaa 8 level, HDR on. For sure a this time is not optimized as nvidia, but when they will Gold rF2 and Ati will release 13.2 stable drivers, things will change.. However even now i can't be unsatisfied, great Money for Value.
FullHD Single Screen. Playing alone, I have like 160fps, but in a starting grid with 26 cars (I play in a league) the frames drops up to 30fps for a moment and around 40fps all the start. My actual config is HDR/FXAA off, AA Level 2 1080p@60Hz and everything ''medium'' (my car at high). I think I will wait until gold rF2, and now I think I will buy a new wheel (My wheel is +4years old)
I just built a new machine with a 660ti.I get fps around 80-100 with everything at full except shadows witch is set to high.HDR is on and AA is at x16.Reflections and wind and crowd motion are turned off because they don't do much anyway.Right now if money is a issue imo the sweet spot is ether a 660ti or a 7870.Ether will run rfactor2 nicely.If you plan to run triple screens you may want a little more card. Get the 7950, it's the better card overall. I just put the MSI 7950 Twin Frozr III in my system and rF2 really flies on max settings, 1080p @ 60Hz. I still get fps drops at the start of a race with a large grid but otherwise it holds 60fps.

Did AMD ever sort out the massive swing between minimum and maximum framerate? That was almost always the issue for me in the past with their cards. FPS were always okay...but racing simulations, (where there is continuous motion) would always suffer despite having higher peak framerate than the competition. They do build better, more sturdy hardware though. I love the look and 'feel' of their cards.
I ensure to you that new beta drivers fix that problem, I have fps drops just at the start, but is because of the many cars on the screen (I use 30 cars in view).
Not enough knowledge to comment on the AMD, but I would say you will be more than happy with the 660ti. My build; i7-2660s 8gb ram 600w thermaltake psu evga gtx660 (standard not ti or oc) run rfactor 2 on a 1680x1050 monitor with hdr, fxaa, and every setting at absolute max and have no problems getting a steady 60fps with vertical sync on with a full 20 car grid. Only track it drops below is mills if im running it at dusk or night with the extreme shadows it drops to 40-45ish in a few sections of the track. Overall amazing card for under 200.
This ones easy, hd7950, overclock it to 1120-1200+ core (plus memory oc) and you will be matching and even ahead of gtx670 sometimes, 660ti doesn't have the overclocking headroom to achieve that
