Happy to pay for an f1 track pack Not really interested in more f1 cars as there is a good choice already ( not against more choice though ) Does anyone know if this includes an f1 trackpack ?
Just spent an hour with this. Absolutely terrific F1 mod. So amazing I am at a loss for words. This is just awesome. Thank you to all involved. Now all we need is a full slate of formula tracks as good as ISIs Malaysia and Silverstone.
The best looking mod I have ,it just looks fantastic , after driving them for a bit I can't ignore that I feel the car has to much grip , the handling in the demo was not far off , I just hope it will be adjusted ,I would like to feel them a bit more on the edge , anyway FN great work .
Goddamnit the working day just started here! What timing :X All previous RFT mods had too much grip as well I think, but if that is the worst of the problems, then I'm a very very happy simracer this evening
They released some new f1 tracks with more to follow to make the complete trackpack ? (They don't communicate that much do they)
no, they dont say much! it just says there are some untested tracks with some DRS, but do they have Real Road etc? the silverstone file is over 400mb, so im assuming they just added DRS to ISI's track are the others just conversions? looks like you need them all to get on the current server that is running them all
I for one am pretty happy with the grip. I too want realistic, but this compensates just a bit for the lack of feel the real drivers have in their cars (not talking about the steering alone of course, but the whole car). You can still turn the car around when the throttle goes in to soon; why make it like all the others and let them keep turning the rear end almost all the time? How often do you see a real F1 driver making a 180 of 360 turn coming out of a (slow) corner? It just twitches a bit, nothing more. Here too if you act decent....... We DO lack the feeling and I think this is nice. Maybe not realistic, but how realistic are all those cars that keep turning around when you just give a half of a millimeter to much throttle when you are behind a screen playing it? Love the McLaren btw; the shiny mirrors......really looks good!
The case where cars keep on sliding, even at lower speeds, is really something which I think has to do with the general physics model which can be tweaked. It really seems to take a very look long for the tires to grip again even when a lot of inertia seemingly has been lost because of sliding and no throttle input. This seems to be one thing which is a bit overdone still but I wouldn't be surprised if this too is something which is and can be improved upon in later builds. Indeed the lack of feeling behind a desk or in a static rig is a shame, but I guess every simulation is a compromise in lots of areas, that's the nature of trying to reproduce something I suppose
I agree that the grip is good. Of course this is all personal opinion as I have never sat in the cockpit of a real F1, but it is how I would imagine it. To me the best F1 physics are GSC and Ferrari VA. This mod is on par with those grip levels. And it looks real purty
