Here here. I have turned off special effects because it's just too distracting. However, of course, I then don't know when/where opponents are exceeding limits, which is very valuable information to me. What else am I missing when I turn off special effects? I don't race in rain so I wouldn't be getting spray anyway. What else? Gravel and grass? Anything else? Thanks.

 

I don't want to come out as pushing / a nagger, but why not put it out if it's a good one?

I was never satisfied with content initially released (like Mills Metro Park) and did not pay much attention to the recent rFactor2-updates. You have to admit Autodromo di Mores shows some great improvement of graphics, those textures look life-like. Very impressive!

 

But those nice graphics don't really matter when anti-aliasing is still broken...

 

Gosh those screenshots look fantastic, it also looks very close to completion , hope testing goes well (-:

 

Get you a proper display then you wont have problems with aliasing!
People are complaining about "graphics of 2009" but have dated (or bad) hardware.... WTF??
Higher resolutions do wonders! People who are still on 1080p with 30+ inch screen shouldn´t expect too much!
OK, the goal of AA is to smoothen the picture even on this low res, so it should work. But there are limits!

I don't even use AA & all fine here ( 3d vision helps smooths things ) a few minor jaggies but no problem -I prefer the extra fps

 

hehe...i'm on 1080p with a 37" screen and lovin it!

 

I play often on my projector using 1080p and AA level 4 (what it mean exactly I don't know) and I'm really happy by picture quality on my 108" display (135cmx240cm).

 

i play on 22" and 1680x1050. - all fine here.

 

Any build updates Mr. Miller? I just built a new PC and wanted to hold off on installing the 240 driver if there is a build in testing this weekend.

Long story short:

The next build __can be more stable and optimized__ just by using another compiler or some compiler-switches, wich in turn can do harm to things in an unforeseen way . To take things into account, you need a little bit of expierience about it:

Long story shot, it might compile, but not run on every f..ing machine from XP to 8 the best way possible . That's why I personally would like to see a commitment to W7+ and Linux. One can dream ....

I ran just yesterday Silverstone with FISI 2012 when i realised i had AA at factor 3, turned it down to 1 in config and it was GREAT to race with some guys in 1280xsomething, windowed mode, look up my hardware in my profile. I think ISI is on a good way and they are expirienced guys, so i have no doubt about rF2 will be great (Yes, call me a fanboy, i appreciate it and i don't care )

 

i would get rid of XP all together... not enough users and talk about being in the past, time to move on and update or be left behind as you are now playing a 2012 sim not a 2005 sim. ( A lot of ppl stay using XP to hack i bet all cracks released for this sim will come from an XP user.)
