    Interesting way to show you how it specifies what you have missing, no? :) It makes it a lot easier being able to click that checkbox and just view components etc in the list. And then the info given is great. From my point of view...

    Looks like an improvement. But this is one of the reasons I don't like the current mod system. It draws focus from the game development to create additional tools.

    Great, I though the way it's done at the moment seems a little basic, this will be handy

    Hope it's not to any builds away (-;

    This is all part of the game development, personally I welcome any step forwards whether or not it is on my personal wish list, every tick off the list is a step closer.

    With the mods packed into a convenient single file it would be nice if we could just dump them in a folder and have the sim find what's available on launch. Having the separate install process seems pretty pointless step to me. Then to uninstall we just delete the file or click a delete button in the sim.

    If the sim needs some files faster to speed up menus etc then extract them to a cache. If people want to modify textures etc then they can create a folder per mod for asset overrides or pack it into their own mod patch version.

    Using the individual files would also help with version mismatches because if you have version 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 and you want to join a server which is running 1.1 the sim would have the necessary files to be able to load the required version.

    better layout but most of that info is already available in the current mod manager though and still wont help the current online situation

    Yes seems to better to use and more clear for end users.

    But there is always the rfmod linked to tracks :(

    Indeed a good improvement to manipulate files.

    Looking good. Big improvement :).

    Is there or will there be, a quick way to delete mods from package folder with this new mod manager without having to open package folder? Would be something good to have.

    We're going to be releasing them as individual components, the only linking will be in the mp mod, unless you download one where they are packaged together.

    Can you giva a rough time table for when this is going to happen, Tim? Or will it be done when the earlier released content is getting an overhaul?

    Old content should be updated (bugfixed also) then released as components. I don't know exact timing, but I am trying to persuade them to do it soon. :)

    Why are you still talking about some official release. RF2 have already been released officially. Now we wait for updates/additions.
