Anyone ask for a refund and if so how'd it go and did moneybanks seem shady?

I downloaded the beta and played for a few days. I'm not overly impressed and requested a refund. I got an email from moneybanks that wants pictures of an ID and my bank statement. Is this normal or a scam? I still might pick up the finalized version at some point down the road when there are more tracks and cars.

Plus you should ask them why they want such information before jumping to any conclusions. Not saying they are or are not scams but you don't know, they could have a legitimate reason.

 

how did 'moneybank' get the info that you requested a refund? Is this email refering to the refund request or is it a generic message?

The purchase, upgrade and refund proicess are all part of the beta and I'm sure rFcator staff would appreciate any feedback on it.

 

Paypal have also had me send paperwork to them in the past, but I haven't had to do it for years. They've also called me a few times, but then I use it more than most people I guess, I have a debit card from the account. There were a few people who got asked similar things when trying to purchase a year ago, but of course then it was easy to tell them to use Paypal.

However, we use Moneybookers, not Moneybanks.

If you paid with them (MoneyBOOKERS), then requested a refund, I'm not sure how else they could have known you were trying to get one?

Well, i didn't promise nothing related to a dead line, you are reading for free, before i was in beta phase.... You don't have any reasons to complain, i will be done when i'm ready and you has no right to ask about my development speed.
If you really dislike ask for a ban. I'm pretty sure someone will listen you.
