I was driving during the night in Sebring and suddenly I realised the Pleyades were out there on the sky. That was something I really liked View attachment 5664
Yeh I`ve noticed the stars too... pretty awesome imo... Really adds to the immersion to see real night sky.
It would be more realistic on some tracks to have a horrible light pollution problem. Lime Rock has some of the clearest skies I've ever seen though (in real life).
Indeed, light pollution is a problem and sadly would be realistic. Even get a little from the village I live in and have to drive away for a few miles to get rid of it. When you do that though, it is really amazing what you see in clear, light pollution free skies. Big into my stars and night skies... must do some more astrophotography me thinks.
During a recent meteor shower I drove over 2 hours south (which makes me 3 hours away from Chicago). I could see stars very clearly, but just a little orange hue. Wow... three hours away from Chicago and still there`s a little light pollution. (Well, picked up by the camera) Still a nice shot thought Tim, lots of nice stars in there.
Oddly, there are only 6 stars depicted in this shot even though the Pleiades, sometimes called the Seven Sisters, is a constellation of 9 (Mom, Dad and the 7 girls). Maybe it's the Japanese version, Subaru, which is depicted as 6. However, despite that it and other stars around it (the constellation Perseus is recognizable too) are depicted essentially correctly in the east, the Pleiades should not be that low in the sky at night in Florida at this time of the year. Is RF2's calendar and clock not properly synced with it's sky? Oh, no! Bug report!
Nice, I love looking at the stars, it's so peaceful. Maybe ISI should also throw in some shooting stars too I could then also make some wishes
Did you happen to see the firework show? At sebring just after sunset, comming into the last turn thers a cool firework show going off in the distance for a few min .... pretty cool lol

I used to live eight miles from where I currently reside and there wasn`t any light pollution of any kind... I was actually quite amazed at the stars I could see being just a few miles form either of the towns up here... I`m sure Australia has many areas that are quite fantastic for no light pollution as it is a vast country with miles upon miles of open land but there are many, many other places around the world too, some just a few miles from my front door so "as close as you'll get to no light pollution in a first-world country." is a bit off mate... Not trying or wanting to pick a fight just saying.
Thats amazing! one day i'd like to think that were be in the postion to where you can have a server running, and depending on what track it was it would take information from the internet to sync, moon position and phase, star and planet positions (Jupiter is very bright), correct sunrise and sunset, weather, Trees turning red etc depending on season. This might be asking a hell of alot
