I'm not sure if that's working as intended and that's why I'm reporting it!

    SUMMARY

rFactor2 is behaving a bit weird. I have to disable the HUD before I leave the main menu and enable it once I'm in the garage. Reason is that if I leave it enabled from the main menu it will show the odometer etc. but if I disable it and enable it in the garage it will only show the display in the top right corner (i.e. car status, standings etc.) and that's what I want because the displays on my wheel make the virtual odometer unnecessary.

    HARDWARE

    Asus P8Z77-V Pro
    I7-3770
    16GB Ram
    GTX680
    Razer Carcharias headset
    LG 42LG5000 TV
    Logitech Z313 2+1 speaker system
    Windows 7 Professional x64
SymProjects DLC247 (also known as SimRacingHardware MONSTA; SimDash software)
    SimDisplay SimRacePro (SimDisplay software)

    VERSION

    rFactor2 beta 134

    REPRODUCTION STEPS

    1. Race vs. AI
    2. Race vs. other players

    TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS

Tried it quite a few times (obviously since it's always been like that for me) but there's really not much I can troubleshoot, I believe.

    Conclusion

I'd just like to know if that's working as intended because it's annoying. Not a biggie but if I forget to change it before loading a track I have to go back to the main menu and load the track again. :)

Are you only talking about plugin issues? Because you probably need to tell the person who made the plugin.

Sorry for the delay Tim, I completely forgot to reply when I got the notification e-mail. So. No, it's not about a plugin. It's about the OSD in rFactor2. 2 short examples including 2 videos, maybe that's easier.

    1) Leave HUD on "ON" in settings whilst being in the main menu
    2) Start race in the main menu
    3) Go to track
    4) OSD will show everything including odometer in addition to the race positions, tyre temperatures etc. in the upper right corner

    It will look like this.

    ----------------------------

    1) Leave HUD on "OFF" in settings whilst being in the main menu
    2) Start race in the main menu
    3) Whilst still being in the pits change the HUD setting to "ON"
    4) Go to track
    5) OSD will show nothing but the race positions, tyre temperatures etc. in the upper right corner

It will look like this, I don't switch through the UI often but it's visible around 1:45.

Maybe it's a bit hard to explain but I hope you can reproduce it / understand what I'm talking about. :)

    Thanks,

    Tom

Thanks, Tim! I just noticed there was a typo in the instructions for video 2 - of course it's "OFF" in step 1 and "ON" in step 3 but I'm sure you figured as much. :)

P.S.: is the reputation bar on the forum gone? I thought I saw one earlier. :)
