There was something changed on the server I wanted into and now it works. There were more I couldn't join though and they were 133.....so I thought it was a mismatch.
updated this time, all went well, joined the servers as well. (I went to Monaco too, a hotel has been demolished but they left the tents, lasy workers I imagine) Merry Christmass ISI, Tim, Gjohn and team have a nice holiday with your beloved, thank you
Updater worked for me also. Good job with the shadows they are great now, no flashing. Still have the bug with tyre display being messed up in all tracks etc though. Only tested at mills with nissans but I think Im getting more frames now also. Dont know if it was there already but really nice touch to have birds flying there sometimes. I regret so much buying rfactor 2 in january. This thing is still in beta (they told it would be finished after 6 months of beta) and with a lot of unfinished features. The physics is flawed (tire temperature and suspension simulation is a joke), the graphics is not optimized, the sounds are bad, the UI is terrible. They are now fixing things that should have been fixed long ago and no significant improvement is being made. I asked for a refund in july and they told me the refund request should have been made in less than 2 months after the purchase. I'll try to sell my license to a friend. Assetto Corsa seems to be a much more solid and accurate simulator. I'm glad they are gonna release a tech demo first. None of this rfactor 2 beta joke.
I bought rF2 in January as well, and I don't regret it so far. Thanks for the update ISI. Auto update works like a charm. Black box car is fixed with Environment Reflection: On (previously the fix of this problem was turning off Environment Reflection). Still, the crashing sound is inaudible or not exists?
erm, it might be just me, but if you think it isn't good, wouldn't you be better of selling it to someone you don't like instead of a friend???
That's funny, how do you know Assetto Corsa will be better than rfactor 2? If I'm not mistaken, it has NOT been released yet, no beta, no demo, nothing... I am sure it will be good, but no one knows yet...
A. Tyre model isn't complete, and parts of it aren't even activated yet (something about carcass temp.??? I'm not too sure B. What is so flawed about the suspension simulation? Rfactor 2's physics engine is very complex and high fidelity, and RFactor 2 supports even more suspension types than RFactor 1...... C. Assetto Corsa will be great, I am a fan and will buy it, but like every sim it will not have perfect physics. I have seen 3 or 4 videos of the modern day F1 car and 1 of the Zonda with some VERY awkward and un-natural looking oversteer, rather than the perfect, God made physics that many people expect. D. Assetto Corsa is in a much more finished state than RF2. Have you ever driven a real race car hard? You probably haven't, considering you think RF2 is so bad

If AC isn't available to try yet and apart from the graphics part which we can see in the few videos made accessible, how do you know the rest is going to be "a much more solid and accurate simulator."? Or am I missing something and it's out somewhere? If it's the same reasoning used to get you to buy rf2 beta, how can you be sure the same is not happening again but this time with AC.
