works for me, have you tried setting spotter details to "always" in the audio settings? The spotter can be really hard to make out over all the engine noise though depending on your sound settings.

    Cheers, Uwe

Compaired to engine sound the spotter is very quiet even if you turn it all the way up, you need to turn down other volumes and turn the spotter up, put it to babble "always" and you should have a spotter. If still not, then something is wrong, and only thing that comes to my mind is the amount of sounds at the same time you have selected or soundcard is having some issues producing that particular soundtrack.

shouldn't be questionable for so many, spotter sounds need more work (volume^).

I turned every sound to zero except spotter and sound effects on full/max. I have 5.1 surround speakers and a high quality sound card with number of sound effects set to full (64) still nothing, could it be something in the plr file??

The settings I could find other than volume

    Spotter Detail="3"
    Spotter Laptimes="2" // Report laptimes: 0=never 1=non-race 2=always
Spotter Behind="10.00000" // Range behind at which spotter may comment on vehicles around you (range ahead is 40% of this value because those vehicles are easier to see)

It's possible those videos were done in dev mode because the spotter works in that.

Ah yeah that's a possibility, If its a known issue with a few users its ok as i know the fix will come. I just needed confirmation its not just my own set up/configuration.

    Thank's for all the replies.

I'm now hearing a spotter (only lap times though would be good to hear "on your left " "on your right" "clear " etc )

You have to turn all the sliders down & balance then together at a much lower level I.e engine sounds at 20%

But leave the spotter slider to maximum

Of course I'm referring to the sound sliders in the audio options

I have the same problem. It worked a while back, but I never heard him say anything about other cars being close to me.
It would be very, very helpful if the spotter told you whenever there's a car in your blindspot, especially in online races.

After watching the same replay over and over for adjusting sound settings (not spotter, assuming it won't work in a replay anyways) I realised I can't hear tire sounds, not even when set to 200% (everything else was set to 20%, except spotter @100%)

The replay was with Clios at Lime Rock Park.

    Haha :D

I do not hear the spotter either.
I have not turned other volumes down, but in my opinion it should work even this way if the spotter sound is set to 100%.

Even with the sliders down the spotter is still hard to hear

But it's not really a spotter it just says the lap times I think

Tyre sounds are tied in to the 'Sound Effects Volume' too.
