Hi All, What is the latest performance with SLI? I would like to run graphics on full everything - full details, HDR, reflections, AA, as it looks great - but also want to keep fps up. I am currently running a 670 @ 5320x1050 resolution, and I am wondering whether adding another would help as I have read mixed reviews on SLI on previous builds - I would be interested to know if people are seeing a performance increase? Thanks
On my rig -- i7 @ 4Ghz and two 680GTX cards -- I get 25-30 FPS on the starting grid at Sebring with 25 GT-R machines. During a race it goes up to 65FPS. I think there is a lot of optimisation to come.
I have 2x GTX 460's and have the following graphics setup: 1920x1080 Everything Max, except for Texture, Shadow and Shadow blur down one from maximum. Level 3 AA, no FXXA (ugly blur to me) and HDR enabled. Vsync on "video". I can have 25 GP2 cars in and around palm beach and fps is always 60. MSI afterburner telling me rf2 is using all of my cards power with 100% sli scaling.
A second card won't do you any good (or very little good) right now. Can't speak for everybody but I get less fps with 2 cards than I do with one. My second card is sitting on a shelf. Even if that is not true for everyone I don't think anybody is claiming a significant gain with SLI. We need to see what the rumoured and mysterious optimizations will accomplish. Frankly I'm not too hopeful for tremendous gains for my 3 screen setup. I hope I'm wrong. Single screen users are already able to get good FPS.
How well does a single 680 run? Looking to upgrade, but I want to know the cheapest path for full details and 50+FPS on a triple screen rig.
i have the 680 4gb you will easily get 50 fps with triples i average from 60/100 on every track. and thats all maxed out and it runs smooth which is the most important thing. and no more troubles with SLI.
680 here and overclocked fps lowest usually over 50fps everything is maxed + hdr on, aa at level 4 and ss at 2. Avg fps is fixed to 60 so no tearing and I dont use sync either
SLI is pretty good for NVidia cards. I have 2 GTX 480's and with everything maxed and 4x AA @ 1920x1080 I get pretty solid 50+ FPS except for grid starts. Scaling seems pretty even too as both GPU's peak about 75-80%. My CPU seems to be letting me down just a little.
I'm with coops on this one. Actually b90-101 of the game ran very well with even a single GTX560Ti-2GB card. I was getting 80+ fps with everything maxed out. On b125, it's closer to 116+ fps with the GTX670-2GB card in single player with one monitor all settings maxed out.
