    I didn't touch the trees. ;)

It's rF2's new in game AA levels and FXAA that works just spot on with wgeuze's trees. :)
(FXAA gives some sort of distance blur on the trees.)

    Interesting.

The trees do look very nice indeed. Very natural.
    Great stuff.

I always thought the trees here at Zolder are probably the best looking trees at any circuit.

    Thank Tosch ;)

Even though the majority of them is plain wrong, i need pine trees! ;)

I'll be working on Zolder again in a while, thanks for reminding me Gijs ;)
All the surface textures are as good as placeholders, hence the tiling. The kerbs
don't even have correct speculars, so I wouldn't waste any time on that if I
were you, as all those things will be replaced. Shocker, the road doesn't even
have the actual proper realroad shader yet, this one is the one 'pre-Silverstone'...

But hey, atleast someone is working on that track... (busy times guys..and working on a rig design is more fun for now)

    p.s.
your atroturf isn't astroturf, it's just painted concrete :)
though Gijs, if you really want to practice with textures, you could get some sourcefiles and the latest dev mode track.

The only info which I can give is that I'm too busy with my dayjob and league racing to come up with even the smallest
amount of motivation to even think about building a track in my spare time, maybe ever. I'm never ever happy with what I have
built, as nitpicky as ****, not having deadlines is killing, and it is just going nowhere except for a dead end.

That said, I did offer the project as a whole to ISI as a starting point but haven't gotten an answer back, but that
in itself might be an answer already ;)

However, whoever wants to finish this half-assed track can give it a go for all I care. I just can't put up with it
anymore, I'd rather spend my time racing than doing stuff I do for a living only ending up frustrated because I can't
meet my own standards in the many hours it costs to do even simple tasks :p

Sometimes not being on the clock/payroll can be a real downside... If I had told myself this 10 years ago, I'd laugh in my
    face...

Probably not what people want to hear, but I'd rather give an honest answer. Last year I planned on getting it going again,
in the end, never even started max, I have to simply face it, I'm not going to finish this one.

That is a pity to hear wgeuze but also completely understandable...

Hopefully someone will take the project on, I wish I had learned to mod etc sometime ago but well, as you say, real life stuff just takes up so much time.

Be great if ISI did take on the project. Hopefully we`ll see Zolder in rf2 someday. :)

Thanks for your answer, wgeuze. Really appreciate your honesty. As tjc already said, the reasons are fully understandable. Enjoy your time while racing.:)

I'd like to give it a go, although I know I'm in the same boat as you, wgeuze. :) I probably won't ever finish it myself, but who knows...
I started many projects in the past, like a GTR2 version of GT4's Special Stage Route 5 and the '85 Corvette. Although my 3DS Max skills have dramatically improved thanks to that car, I haven't finished any of those. (Except for a proper GTR2 conversion of RTR's Zolder.) Mainly because I'm very nitpicky as well. And also... I bought a real '86 Corvette, so there's not need to finish the car anymore. xD

the best "street car " in belgium; This Land has two perfect track, with the natural spa. on "industrial concept" and one gothique ( it would be marvellous to hear nightwish in the forest)
