    cOOL!
Can I ask you if you are working in some your own project?!
I know that you are helping a lot of modders right here, but we need your own project in rF2 :D

Yeh, I would, but I have no 3ds max and the biggest problem, I have no skills in 3ds max. William on the other hand earns his money with that stuff and so my idea is to support my favourite modders with the boring tasks, like aiw and cams, while they can fully concentrate on track creation. :D
btw my first track would be Estering Buxtehude (Rally Cross)!

    @William
What sdk version do you have installed?

And a splendid job you are doing.

More specialists sharing and working together would result in a lot more good quality tracks. Everyone can't (and shouldn't) try to be an expert in all aspects of digital track design and construction.

Good news Tosch it works :D
I completely reinstalled rF2 and devmode and it works immediately :) Camera positions at first glance look pretty cool! Also discovered a slight lofting error in one corner
    now...

Ah well :p At least we can stop trying to figure out what went wrong :D

And indeed the support is really great to have, almost all of my spare time is going into fiddling with models as it is ^^

Seriously, looking forward to this track, everything so far indicates it'll be top-drawer. Thanks for your efforts.

Great job. I am really looking forward to this. The video already shows that it will be a beauty.

Didn't you promise sending new pictures a while ago :p ;)

The camera placement is doing it's job in two fold already I must say. Firstly it just looks like the track is getting more complete but
secondly I'm seeing it literally in other angles. Unfortunately, this makes me see things in slightly other perspectives and maybe not in a positive way!
For some kerbs I have the feeling they are too wide, but when driving yourself they look spot on, above all else, they are appear to be spot on
with the reference material, argh! Also I'm starting to think my white lines are a tad too wide, again, when driving, looks spot on..

And there is the dreadful lofting error sweet jesus, rookie mistake :p

Hopefully needless to say, fixes on the road surface will always get the higher priority above anything else so these checks and possible fixes
might delay stuff a bit. It's annoying but when I see it I simply can't let it go un-fixed. However, some tasks I can combine, when I worked on the road surface,
the grass edges were untouched so I have to re-attach those. I anticipated this happening so I left most of the edges of the asphalt quite basic in terms of
uv, to fix them later. These two tasks I can do at the same time now :) Again it sucks but the sooner I can leave the road behind me for a good while
the better, it's just that I keep seeing things to improve upon as the rest of the track slowly comes together more.

    @Tosch,
Care to do an in-cockpit video of a lap or 2? :)

    edit:
Just sent an inquiry to a company which apparently does aerial lidar scanning in Flanders, don't expect anything but it is something to
    hope for, who knows! :)

I do have a paypal account but donations don't buy me any more spare time ;)
    Thanks for asking though!

Have you seen videos of iRacing's Zolder? I wonder if they could help for reference.

Actually I have, for the second turn after the second chicane I used an iRacing video to help me with the elevation, I had it too flat at first :)
However, the same difficulties as with a normal onboard video occur. Everybody who has stood before Tarzan Corner, Eau Rouge, to name a few,
can testify that those types of videos don't do elevation or camber justice.

Nothing beats going to the actual track! (and having a high density point cloud, sniff)

Agree with that bit on elevation. I've been to Spa, Monza, and Monaco and it's incredible. Monaco probably most of all as you can't see from tv. But at least the reference with regards to kerbs and trackside objects, wouldn't that be extremely helpful for your question on kerb width?

For sure it would, if someone was willing to make some shots with a corvette on there, would be very nice indeed! :)

Brands Hatch is similar. The steepness of the drop down Paddock Hill bend and climb up towards Druids cannot be appreciated on TV.

 can I ask it is possible to have more variety of trees?! I mean green trees and trees with dry leaves......it would make the all thing looks more realistic. However it looks really great:)

Of course that is possible. Right now I just used the trees Tosch gave me because it was very quick setting them up and it does so incredibly much for the scene. Eventually I am going to build trees specifically for Zolder to match the vegetation there. However, as it is now I think it will be good enough for a while, I'd rather focus on getting all the braking cues in place :)

Thanks Tosch for the video ^^
