I've got the opponent volume at 1% and player at 200% and I can barely hear my own engine now. Hell, sometimes, I hear their engines when they are on the exact opposite side of the track.

I just realized I posted this in the wrong forum, but wanted to expand a bit more on the problem. I just changed sound from surround sound speaker 5.1 to my headphones and the problem is still there. I have my engine sound at 200 and opponent sound to 1, yet I still hear other cars like they are running right next to me even when I'm the only car and all others are on the other side of the track. It's very annoying. Just want ISI to know about it. It's only happened since this latest build.
Did you try some other settings instead "my engine sound at 200 and opponent sound to 1", like default is 100 for player engine, 70 for opponents. Do those settings even have an effect? Also surround sound didn't work properly in previous versions (didn't try if anything changed in this version) so the safest is to select stereo. Also if you didn't already try - try to uninstall rF2 and do a fresh reinstall (full, not update).
Yeah, I tired the other settings and they were the same. When I get home I'll double-check my headphone settings to make sure I didn't leave game sound to surround. And if all else fails, do the fresh install... ;-) Thanks...
I'm getting distorted audio when running with the pack racing the Clio. Have tried adjusting opponent Audio levels to no avail... Haven't tried the Megane but all other cars seem to be okay.
Yeah that Clio audio glitch has been there all the time. One of those things on the back burner I guess.
Ahh, sorry, been away from RF2 for a long time now! Thought I'd fire it up during iRacings week 13 and I'm actually really surprised at how far it's come, the Clio is an awesome car
So I double-checked my sound settings after switching to my head phones and they were set at surround 5.1. I changed that to stereo and the problem actually got worse! I loaded up the Megan at Briziana (league is running there tomorrow) and I can hear other cars as if I was in their cockpit. It's the craziest thing I've ever heard.
