Craziest and most fun rf2 glitch ever! 60s F1 vs Nissan GT-R SMACKDOWN!

So I'm OFFLINE in rf2 going into Mills with a Spark F1 but I have to step away b/c the plumber arrives at my house to fix my water heater. After that, I come back to the PC and I'm in an ONLINE race with my Spark F1 and there are 40 some odd people online and I'm thinking how the heck did THIS happen and, more importantly, have I died and gone to heaven in a race with 40, I repeat FOURTY, F1s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I pull out onto pit lane and carefully onto the track and realize I'm in a practice session with a swarm of Nissan GT-Rs!!!! So, of course, I continue! The next ten minutes is a combination of hide and seek (at first I am trying to hide from others by running away and hiding when someone gets close to me and then when there is a gap chasing the train that just went by) and then just making sure I don't get in anyone's way. Then I am out of time and have to sign off and, YES, am back out to OFFLINE menu! LOL.

VERY fun and now I am wondering how 60s F1 compares to Nissan GT-R, Is a smackdown is in the cards?

 

The offline exe doesn't contain network code. Are you sure there wasn't simply a (human) selection error? AFAIK it's not even possible for a server to have that many clients.

 

"40 some odd people" > implying there were definitely over 40

"40, I repeat FOURTY" > implying there were exactly 40

Which is very interesting, since I often play with the maximum number of AI opponents that rF2 allows: 29...

I think the plumber did it .......

 

No error b/c when I exited the track I was back to offline menu. For an exact count you can check the match server logs for who was online at 10 a.m. this morning running GT-Rs.
